I wanted to make this thread to welcome you and address a question that I know when I first joined I had.

The main way you get promoted is you get noticed (in a positive way) by leadership. That means these people. They are the people that promote you. Be friendly, say hi, play the game, and be a team player.
If you have a mic use it in game. Better yet come hang out with us in Teamspeak. If you need help getting your tag to show up, you can check out this thread, or just ask for help from another member.
If you are going to play a game eGO supports, consider playing on our servers. If you have the choice between a super full server or a server with fewer players, play on the server with fewer. It helps us fill the server and it makes you stand out. Just because you might not see leadership, it doesn't mean they aren't there. Also, eG and eGO ranked members will sometimes recommend players for promotion for things Leadership might have missed.
Leadership looks not just for activity but for maturity. You might be 14 or 40 if you act mature you will be promoted. Maturity is how you act, not how long ago you were born.
It comes down to this: Promotions happen when they happen. You might be an e for a short time or a longer time. The key is to be active and mature. Some members remain e's for a few months while others are promoted quickly. Don't ask for your promotion; it will happen in time. (Seriously, if you beg, it won't happen for a LONG time.)
Most importantly, play the game and have fun. Remember you joined to do something fun.
