Meg's A Tagger (Stepped Down)​

After a long tenure as an advisor, division leader, and community manager for the DOD:S division Meg has officially stepped down. What hasn't she done, who hasn't she helped? If you think DOD:S, you think Meg. If you know her, you know how much of a kind heart she has, and the impact she has had on the lives of so many of us; but don't let that fool you, she can be feisty, DOD:S and it's members were her cubs, and don't ever come between a momma bear and her cubs! Meg has been a DOD:S leadership member for almost 7 years, and has been our beloved CM for over 3 years. Meg, although you are still going to be around in TS, and in game, it will truly be strange to look into our TS channel and not see you right at the top! I cannot speak for everyone else, but I will miss your experience, heart, and moral guidance. Meg, thank you!

Annihilator (Stepped Down)
If you think grumpy old DL, Anni has to pop into your mind. Well, he might cantankerous at first glance, is truthful one of the most hardworking, devoted, and true friends you will meet. People who really know him, know that he is certainly of a strong opinion, and he does not shy away from telling you; for example, when he adamantly told a whole channel that his snow is better than ours. He has been a DOD:S leadership member in one form or another for the better part of 8 years. I have been around a while myself, and don't believe I can remember a time that he hasn't been there. As a DOD:S leadership member, Anni saw the fall of houses (a spot of contention among many), the rise and fall of several DOD:S servers, and the continued success of our long standing #1 Ranked Avalanche server. That really puts his long standing tenure into perspective. 8 YEARS! Everyone should be sure thank Anni for his service to the division, and to eGO. I cannot express my gratitude for everything he has done. Thank you!​

Please welcome Stewie and Iron Penguin to the DOD:S leadership team. Over the past few months several DOD:S advisors have stepped down for various reasons and these two members, even before their promotion to leadership, stepped up to help. They have been pillars of the DOD:S community for some time, and the discussion to promote them both has been on-going. We know they will continue to provide the same level of guidance, and firm management of the day-to-day running's that we have come to expect. Congratulations to Stewie and Iron Penguin.

Sorry to see Meg's and Ani step down. Love playing with these 2, had some fun times on DoD's for sure! Congrats to Iron, Stewie and Glue on the promotions!

It is hard to find the words to say to express how I feel about the service provided
by Megs and Annihilator. As nothing I can think up will really do it justice.

Instead of focusing on the end of their service... I choose to focus on the beginning,
of when I first met them both.

When I first came to this server, I played nothing but Avalanche... and eventually I
came around to the other Kalt+Donner+Anzio servers... and from there, they encouraged
me to play events.

Between Megs soothing voice, and Annes stern and guiding hand at the wheel... they made
for a great team... and gave us the confidence we needed, to take us as far as we have
gotten. I've always looked up to them, and if I have challenged them in the past, it was
only because I thought they were on a world so high above me.

The event server used to max out with a ton of eGO members, and it was a little intimidating
playing with so many regulars who grew up with this game... but with a bit of patience,
and some guidance from our leadership.. I had a lot of fun playing with them on the realism
maps.

I'm not sure if I ever truly won them over, but I always had the utmost respect for them...
and I really enjoy(ed) playing with them on all of our maps. Because they are some of the most
skiled players... and just like to have fun and have a good time.

Over time they invited me to play in their left 4 dead matches, and borderlands, moonbase alpha. lol
Might sound a bit silly... but I have to say, those times were some of my most memorable times of
my life. lol

If you know me, I'm not much for zombies, but I had a ton of fun playing left 4 dead, with the gang.
and had a blast on moonbase alpha. (We'll always have the moon megs! jk)

anyways, I just hope they both had as much fun as playing with me, as I did with them.
and hope we can still make some new memories together.

I know recently, the DOD:S scene might have been a bit discouraging.... and I know the past few
months haven't been easy..... and I know my pressing for change, probably didn't make the job any
easier for any of you... but I hope you realize, I never meant to disrespect any of you, or your
positions. and I say the things I say, because I care.

With any luck, this is just a bump in the road, in the long winding road of DOD:S

and who knows what may come in the future, perhaps we will once again be blessed with
both your leadership once again. I wish you all (Megs, Annihilator, Zero, Nuclear Cowboy, Ironpenguin, Superglue and Stewie) good luck, and if you
take with you... the same passion for what you had with DOD:S, you are surely to go far in life.

I just past my 5 year anniversary here with eGO. The leadership has been more or less the same for as long as Ive been here. With the exception of Lungbuster, most are still around. I know Nuke got busy with life and came around when he could, but its always been Meg and Anni at the top.

I wont get all sappy, because they havent gone anywhere, still see them daily, when I can get on early enough that is... I just wanted to add my thanks. From the moment I got my O, to Event Coordinator, and through my couple years as advisor, they have both been extremely helpful in guidance, showing the right way to do things, and reminding me gently when I did things wrong how to correct them.

You both get a big fat salute from me...

Ha! This is what Anni told me when he promoted me. I also didn't believe him and said I "didn't think he was nice enough to promote me".

Thanks to everyone though for making this division as great as it is - we might not all play DoD so much anymore, but always love coming into TS every once and a while to a happy crowd.

Man, a lot of changes. Sadly, wish I was still as active as I was 6 years ago but I've lost interest in DOD:S. Glad to see you both still sticking around though. Perhaps you'll catch me on the servers from time to time. Congratulations to the rest of the DOD:S Leadership/Administration on their promotions. Thank you Nuke and Zero!

I would like to thank all our leaders past and present, Although I do not ask many questions I did when I was first given my admin by Johnt. I was always treated with kindness and respect. I can still remember telling megs of for calling other players "bitches" and Anni used to knock the crap out me in "Kalt" I could never beat him.
I have left my post to later because I now find once I reply to a post no one follows me.
