As we know, EA have announced that micro-transactions will return and will be progression based rewards. The game has not even been out for a week and I am seeing players already with classes/heroes/reinforcements (such as starfighters, AAT/AT-ST/support vehicles) that are level 30+ at the legendary purple level.
From just the 5 hours of the game that I have played, I decided to see how many credits I would make towards my progression (without accepting challenge/milestone rewards). From 5 hours of both Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault, I have made a mere 3,500 credits. My highest credit reward from one game being just 335 (multiple times, leaving me to believe that the cap is at 335) and my lowest at 15 credits for a full 20 minute game and playing the objective.
So to actually get star cards for my classes from loot crates, I do feel that the only way to enjoy the game and its contents, without it feeling like an utter grind like an MMO, --which we MUST remember, is an FPS game!!-- , is to buy crystals to get loot crates. Something EA stated that they want their playerbase to do if they wish to progress. I for one feel that I cannot trust EA again, and after DICE's mess of Battlefield 1 for me, and now this... I am done.
