Hey dudes, just two cents from a guy who's been a part of eGO for a long time and has had the pleasure of being a part of pG for the past year or so. I sort of got to grow up around eGO - I joined when I was 13, about to turn 14. It's changed a lot, we've gone through phases, we've tried a few games. But the consistent feeling of being welcome has always been there. I left for a bit, spent some time just lurking and being quiet, joining new divisions and trying different games they offered - I've had the same experience from day one until now. Some of the people here practically raised me and made me a better person. The same kindness and welcoming you guys showed me at pG a year ago, we are here to welcome you with. I had a great time talking to people on Teamspeak tonight and helping them get acquainted with some of the new things. They seemed positive about this direction.
It's a fresh start for many, something we like to offer - second chances. No ones perfect and we can all do better and learn. It's a learning environment, a happy environment and at the end of the day, we really just want to play games and have fun. People who aren't contributing to that kind of environment, some we can change. Some will be shown the door. No community is perfect but, we've never wanted to see people feel unwelcomed.
The good shall enjoy their time and prosper. Those who do not want to be a part of the fun, will probably quickly make an exit. Leadership here are awesome for fostering a good healthy environment and making sure everyone is feeling good around here. If you aren't or you see something bothering you, it can be taken care of VERY quickly.
I think as a whole, seeing the community get to continue into a new age is good - seeing communities die off slowly or just simply close their doors one day is never fun, especially with some of the great crew we have at pG.
