Bugs Process & Procedure
The purpose of this forum is to compile and track a list of bugs on the various EdgeGamers servers.
1. How do I Submit a bug?
In rare cases a bug requires Leadership from the respective game's division to give approval before it can be processed. Some reasons for this may include:
Low Priority - This rating is for bugs that don't require immediate attention. That is not to say that they won't be fixed in a timely manner; only that it is not a major bug that totally ruins/inhibits game-play.
Medium Priority - This rating is for bugs that, while not game breaking, are noticeably problematic in the servers.
High Priority - These are the bugs that should be of the utmost priority for the server. High Priority bugs are game breaking things that cause total and complete inhibition of game play. Things that are consistently crashing the server should always be rated High Priority. If it isn't at a similar level to server crashing, bugs will typically be rated at a lower priority than High.
5. Why is my bug 'x' Priority Instead of 'y'?
As stated under section 2, bugs are evaluated and rated on their priority in relation to all other bugs. We carefully examine each bug and determine whether or not it will take priority over others. We know that bugs can be annoying and you will want it fixed as fast as possible, and we assure you that we try to process and fix things as fast as possible.
6. Why was my bug marked "Not A Bug"?
Sometimes players may confuse innate features for bugs, or perhaps they posted what they thought was a bug but is really a suggestion. In these cases, the thread will either be marked as "Not A Bug" or moved to Suggestions (respectively). If your report is marked as "Not A Bug" we will typically include a post with an explanation as to why it was marked as such. If we neglect to do so, you are free to contact the Technical Team's Leadership to inquire as to the reasoning.
7. Responsibilities of the Poster
Once a bug has been posted and acknowledged, please allow the members of Tech enough time to investigate and process an issue. Sometimes, this may take days or even longer; patience is key to this in any case. Constant @ mentions or other sub-complaints after your issue is acknowledged will not speed up our end of processing - if anything, please refrain from doing so.
