Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Dead Chat

I would love a reasoning behind this, before suggesting to change it. I have asked several people why it's like this, but I have gotten no real answers.

So, in Jailbreak everyone.... EVERYONE can read dead chat, when alive. I understand the purpose of this for admins, but for the general pubs, it doesn't make sense to me.

Not only does it spam the chat for the people alive, it also is a ghosting source, which cannot be administrated if no admins are present.

Any reasoning behind this? Or should I suggest it getting changed to how the TTT chat works? (Only admins can read dead chat, when alive).

It's not a bug, its a feature.

Mainly, its due to the fact that the players on the server are on a whole 'nother metaphysical level and can hear when ghosts talk to them.

I remember back is CSS it was a thing where only Admins were able to see dead chat. But that is a major throwback

At the same time tho, it gives the ded ppl something to do rather than just sit there for 5-8 mins. They get to at least somewhat interact with the rest. I personally like it.

Yeah, but they're dead. They can interact with each other. What's the point of being a ghost with other ghosts if you don't talk to each other and just make fun of the living with your newly made ghost friends?

I miss those days of only seeing dead chat if admin. Tbh i thought and asked about this when i came back then just gave up on it since o our servers we didnt have any ghosters and if we did we stopped it right away since it was 1-2 people.

But who, as a living T, have time to interact with the dead people in chat? I don't know, I only really see downsides.

in all honesty i don't see why it should ever be removed. We RARELY have issues with it, ghosting in JB isn't as much of a problem in JB as it is in TTT, i never hear anyone alive complain about people in chat, except those who are literally spamming or being disrespectful, etc, in which case you should admin it.

Tbh, i really see no big problem. If ghosters are gonna ghost, they will do it through steam chat if they really wanted to. It allows some fun interaction and memeage anyways, might as well just have some fun with it. Its not like this is competitive or some shit.

Nah it's one of my favorite features, I love shutting down three rebellers and seeing the dead reaction.
