Define a good sniper.

To me, a good sniper is not somebody who just gets headshot after headshot. That don't really impress me. A good sniper must have a mic and and be reporting enemy activity...especially letting the team know about spies. They should move around the map and not just stick to one place. I'm not saying kills aren't important, they obviously are, I just feel there's more to sniping than killing.

Edit: A good sniper also knows when to stop sniping and play another class when such is needed more than a sniper.

I'm alright if I focus, to some it comes naturally but for me it comes and goes. I don't play it much anymore because all a team really needs is maybe two at the most. From what I can see, Thatguy and The Judge are excellent snipers.
Not too fond of scouts when I'm a sniper though... which is why I play that class more than any other to harass the enemy team.

I consider myself to be a decent sniper, for whatever that's worth. I really enjoy the class when it's more than just sniper wars back and forth between bases.

I consider myself fairly able to put a bullet in the grey matter zone which we all lack filling for but I am not compitition against the hax0rz like Thatguy and Fuse

I like to consider myself decent at sniping, i'm not up to Thatguy or Fuse level yet, but i think i'm getting there. I went 14-0 with 8 headshots on Goldrush early today, but enough about me =D. To me a good sniper can be as effective as a spy to take out important/potentially dangerous targets. Unlike the spy though the sniper needs to look at an incoming group and pick out in order of priority, and eliminate, those most dangerous to the objective at hand, wether it would be defending, attacking, or even just trying to pick up a few pot shot points.

well, i would consider myself a "decent" sniper only cause it's one of my most played classes(at least in 2fort anyway). I, unfortunately, have not had the good fortune of meeting ThatGuy even though I've seen his beast mode videos. From the people I have seen, it would be Kaela(Erie) and Dryft. I can remember those days i would have a sniper competition with Dryft. He beat me a lot......

Haloracer and Ninja chicken are good snipers. Lately ninja chicken torn me apart in gravelpit from evey angle. Halo used to play on convoy as a sniper, very good too.

Also Skaarj is a mean sniper, we dont see him often since he'S in bulgaria but when he's in game, he sure is good.

I'm going to go ahead and claim that I'm a good sniper, though I haven't played it very much the last few weeks. Seems like every time I log on the team already has a surplus of snipers.

And I still get the occasional "I can headshot a jumping scout moving at mach 5.5 at a crazy angle, but cant hit the heavy slowly trodding across a bridge". So I guess that keeps me from being an awesome sniper.

I'd probably say Thatguy is the best atm.

I am horrible at sniping to be honest. Its a very interesting and well needed class while playing though. Keeping everyone aware of the Spies running around and also picking off the other snipers so other team members can safely accomplish the teams goal.

I like to snipe and feel I am decent at it. Problem is I feel bad playing because normally the team is flooded with Snipers. So I haven't played it much. It may be time to make a visit to Orange and dominate all of them.

I think that i am a decent sniper, the only problem I play sniper only when needed. Play as spy most of the time.
People to mention:

Fuse <idk just see him play as sniper most of time, i notice him only to cover up his spray

I pretty much think I'm a good sniper. I think you are a good sniper when the other team starts to change classes and their way of playing only to get to you. When they do that, you are a nice sniper. When you kill them when they do that, you are an awesome sniper.

To my great regret (^_^) Thatguy and Fuse are better than me (yes, I admit it, I ain't the best), but I haven't really played much against Thatguy as a sniper, cause these days, he prefers soldier (and he also kicks butts ^_^)

Fuse, I hate the fact that you are one of the only 3, in my top 50 kills, which I do not have a kpd higher than 1. Grrr, give me back my kpd. ^_^

Anyways, I am the best user of machete in the world of eGO, and that really please me ^_^
