As of right now, the punishment system is flawed. You can spray down a stack, go on vacation, come home and play again as if you were never punished because the two weeks went up while you were on vacation. I've seen players come on, mfk, get ct banned, come back 2 weeks later and do the exact same thing. That isn't a punishment. That is a delay until you can join.

My proposition here is you cannot join CT until you have completed said amount hours of alive time. MFK would be a 6 hour alive time, and for normal people that takes upwards of a week of daily playing. People like me can get that done in 8 hours. Depends on your skill and activity/schedule. I believe the current swap system works, with the 15 minute delay.

Just an idea, let me know what you think.

If Im not mistaken each time u stray stack, u as a troublemaker are noticed and the time depending on the leadership member looking at the ban to approve it can increase the time to a month or even over a month if they think u deserve it with no appeal.

If I really tried I could probably get it done in 9 or 10 hours, but I hate trying so what a rigorous punishment. On a serious note, I think this is a great idea, and it should probably double on each offense. I personally don?t mind T in fact I often play T more than CT but this is a better option than 2 weeks. Maybe 14 sessions as T each an hour long, so it will still take at least two weeks, but they still have to play during those 14 days.

Why would we report it on the fourms if an admin handled it already and banned him????

well if the admin havent done anything then report it on the forum thats what i mean

But people change. Then again, we have a contest ban. Either way I believe the alive time would fix a lot of things.
Thank you.

If you're willing to spray a stack down, you do not need to play.

If you care enough to play, you will contest.

Generally, that's how its worked in the past. You'd be surprised how much people do not contest. Out of my 60 some bans, i have 5-8 contests.

So we are 3 pages in now to this. I'm curious if we have a clear goal at this point - are we trying to change how admins handle situations? Are we looking for some sort of change in it all?

Just trying to muddle through everything here and see if we've reached any kind of conclusion, since this thread keeps getting bumped up. U Ultraboy

Simon Simon I do agree at the fact that during summer time people are going out of town for vacation and this gives them a good chance to spray stack. The rules shouldn't be changed for mass kill but we should probably implement something for summer time like during may 15- August 20 if they spray stack them they can't appeal the ban till 2 weeks after school has started. Just a opinion, date range is total random I'm not sure how long each person's summer break is

I'd say summer time is when our admins are most active and have more time though, as a whole. This also assumes that the people who are spray stacking are in school as well. There are people in their 20s who don't like to follow rules and suck too :P.

At the end of the day, I think that in-game punishments are up to the admins in the server, and what happens in contests is up to leadership who are reviewing it. Setting hard dates often never gets followed, since every ban is really a case-by-case basis.

I suggest permanent CT ban or server ban for those who massfreekill. It is pretty obvious, who purposely intended to mass freekill and who just made a wrong command which lead to that mass freekill. Either way a mass freekill = perm CT ban. At which point the person needs to come to forums sometime later and apologies or explain their scenario as to why they made that mistake. So if they are given a chance, their record is stuck on forums for the time they repeat. In which case it never gets taken off.

A mass freekiller should not be allowed the power to disrupt server like that.. what ever the reason... It should not be taken lightly cause their intention is to ruin the environment for whatever reason..

I'm fairly sure a mass freekill gets you an actual server ban currently, in which they would come to the forums and contest if they care.

Great, It just needs to be permanent.. however... Either CT perm ban.. or admin maximum ban and then either the admin or some else report them on forums for perm ban (assuming admins can't perm ban currently).

Simon Simon i think we have come to the point this thread is over, for i just see the same commentm just in another conclusion, so i think we might have to close this.

and maybe think we should do it in a different ways of what admins handle such things

The problem I find with this thread is there is a difference between a
Mass freekill
And a Stack spray

I have done a Mass freekill 2-3 times and I promise you they were completely on accident from a misclick, or accidently throwing a gernade into stack and that shouldn't be immediately identified as a permanent ban from all servers that's just harsh.

Yes right now if a CT sprays stack they'll get a 2 week CT ban probably go to TW and come back and do it again which in the case there should be something stricter but again not to the degree of permanent server ban

That's the difference between accidental mass free kill and intentionally massfreekilling. There is a rule against shooting in stacks, so if you do shoot there and freekill more than 3+ people, it should be classed as massfreekilling.. again intentionally cause you are now breaking 2 rules (freekilling and spraying in stacks). I am not suggesting ban from all servers but those of same division. Beside you still get chances depending on scenarios. It should just not be timed. It should be permenant and they need to explain themselves on forums. This could be server ban or perm CT ban whatever works best with the situation but it needs to be brought to forums.

The point of this post was originally to make CT bans alive time rather than offline time. People log off when they get swapped and suffer no punishment.

I mean if they don't play for the week or two they're banned from CT, then that is essentially them banning themselves from the server for a week.

To change the CT ban time to tick down only when they're connected to the server would require someone to modify the plugin it also may cause people to sit AFK in spectator or T (and +forward) to trick the plugin to thinking they're not AFK and that they're actively playing.

This is based off of alive time. Actively playing would not matter, if you're AFK ct's will shoot you and at that rate you'd be leaving your PC on for a month solely on prestige gaming jailbreak. That wouldn't work.

I can write a batch script to load CS:GO then run a macro on my keyboard to connect to Jail, join T, +forward, disconnect after ~15 minutes, and then repeat.

Chances are at 3am, CTs probably aren't checking cells as much as they would during prime time, let alone rounds lasting 8 full minutes with ~12 people connected.

Anyways, point is they can just get banned from the server if they're repeat offenders, but if the admins don't want to admin then ?\_(ツ)_/?

If you wanna go through that much hassle just to be CT again.. I got another sad news for you lol.

Though I see your point.

I don't think you understand quite how alive time works. Hiding in a cell is NEVER viable, and works once every 5 rounds. Alive time is literally as it sounds, the time is only accounted for when you are alive. After doing math, it would take around one month with your mechanism assuming they would survive once every five rounds. This is with your script on, and counter strike running for a month straight. Not viable. I don't see why you're pulling the what if so far, the thread is simple. Alive time > offline time.

Also, when you hide in a cell, you need to actually hide. If you spawn and do +foward you're not hiding, you're just hugging a wall or a door which is easy to catch. You don't need to check cells to see someone blatantly in their cell and not trying to hide.
