v4.2 Patch Notes
In the new Fortnite update, they released Jetpacks and the limited time mode: Solid Gold v2. There will also be another limited time mode that will be coming out this Friday called Close Encounters. Jetpacks is the first of a brand new item type called Backpacks. Backpacks take an inventory slot just like weapons and consumables do. You can only carry one at a time. The Jetpack will work while jumping in mid-air. While flying there is a limited amount of time it can be used before it has to recharge. Recharging begins when it is not in use.

v4.3 Patch Notes
In the new Fortnite update, they released rideable shopping carts, mushrooms, and two limited time modes. There is room for two in the shopping cart. You can either push it around or ride as the passenger. You can shoot from the passenger seat. The shopping carts are found scattered throughout the map. They have added a new foraged item called mushrooms. A mushroom will give you 5 shield. These can be found in shaded wooded or swamp areas.
The limited time mode Blitz is back and updated! Blitz v2 has all the updated weapons and items that have came out since Blitz was released. The bus flight height has been lowered so players can get into action faster. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this mode, there is more loot and faster storms. The limited time mode 20v20 is also back and updated! In 20v20 v2, each team now has there own bus, making it easier for them to drop together. Chests and supply drops now spawn extra ammo and consumables. For those of you who don’t know what this mode is, five teams of twenty players fight to the finish. v4.4 Patch Notes
In the new Fortnite update, they released a new weapon called the Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle, placement of traps on ramps, two new limited time modes, removed the Jetpack, there?s a new soccer stadium located at the northern area of the map, and more! The Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle has a thermal scope that makes it a little bit easier to find enemies. It can see chests, supply drops, enemy heat signatures, and more. This weapon is available in Epic and Legendary variants. Several traps can now be placed on player-built stairs and sloping roofs.
The limited time mode Sniper Shootout is back and updated! In Sniper Shootout v3, the Scoped Assault Rifles has been added to floor loot and chests. Also, Epic and Legendary Sniper Rifles are no longer limited to chests and supply drops. You can now find them on floor loot as well.
The limited time mode 50v50 is also back and updated. In 50v50 v3, a new larger storm circle has been added to the beginning of the match. Extra supply drops will fall in the new circle. The Storm circles are now more likely to head towards the center of the map, this helps make the bus flight path less important. v4.5 Patch Notes
In the new Fortnite update, they came out with a new weapon called the Dual Pistols, map markers, and two new limited time modes. The new Dual Pistol is Available in Epic and Legendary variants. It uses medium bullets, and it shoots both pistols with one pull of the trigger. The base damage is 41-43. They?ve also added map markers. They added visual indicators that now show in game whenever friendly markers are placed.
They?ve added a new limited time mode called Playground. It?s where friends can let their creativity run wild. You can build massive structure, practice with the weapons and items, and fight against your friends. You have one hour to do whatever you want. Friendly fire is on, and players respawn unless killed by the storm. You get 10x the normal amount of resources when farming, 100 llamas spawn, and chests and ammo boxes spawn 100% of the time.
The second new limited time mode they added is called Final Fight Teams of 12. It plays similar to standard Battle Royale, but instead of the storm circles closing all the way in, they stop part way through the match. When the circles have finished closing in, the Final Countdown timer will begin. Teams will then battle it out until the timer expires. The team with the most remaining players wins! It has room for an entire squad. After drifting, you get a speed boost. There are Rifts throughout the map that you will find. Test your courage and step through them. You?re in for a wild ride. A desert biome has been added to the map! There is also two other locations called Paradise Palms and Lazy Links. In the new Fortnite update, they released a new compact SMG weapon, Fortnite 1st Birthday challenges, a limited time gamemode, and more! Engage in close quarters combat with the high capacity, fast firing Compact SMG. It?s available in Epic and Legendary variants, uses light ammo, and has 50 round capacity. We?ve got a birthday party planned for #Fortnite1st and you?re invited! Eat cake, party and bring your friends. Each Birthday Challenge you complete unlocks a slice of the birthday cosmetic set. You can now find birthday cakes placed around the map with consumable slices next to them. Cake slices give +5 health and +5 shield instantly when consumed.

In the new Fortnite update, they released a new shotgun, a limited time gamemode, a rebalance on vending machines, and fixed numerous bugs. The new Double Barrel Shotgun is devastating at close range, and packs a punch with each of its 2 shots. Can be found from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, Vending Machines, and is available in Epic and Legendary variants. The Epic variant does up to 143 base damage per shot at extreme close range and the Legendary does up to 150 base damage per shot at extreme close range. Vending machines have been rebalanced. They now spawn more often, cost less, and have an increased chance to spawn at a higher rarity.
Steady Storm is a new limited time gamemode that has recently been added. It has one constantly moving storm closing in on the island. Stay ahead of it and take down the other players to earn a Victory Royale! One storm that closes in over the course of 15 minutes. There are no safe zone circles. Keep an eye on the map to predict where the Storm will close in. The storm does 10 damage per second. In the new Fortnite update, they released a new sniper rifle, two new limited time modes, and more! The new Heavy Sniper Rifle delievers devastating damage to enemies and even more to structures. Can be found from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, Vending Machines, and is available in Epic and Legendary variants. It deals 150/157 damage to players. Projectiles fired from it have less bullet drop in comparison to other snipers. Two bugs have been fixed in the latest update. Grenades now properly grant progress for the Week 5 Challenge: ?Deal damage to players with a Clinger, Stink Bomb, or Grenade.? Also the cloth physics have been fixed and will now appear properly.
Soaring 50?s is a new limited time mode that has recently been added. This mode is similar to the 50 vs 50. The only difference is that gliders can be re-deployed when falling from large heights. Also, additional impulse grenades, bounce pads, and launch pads will be spawned throughout the map. When in mid-air and greater than 10m up, press Jump to deploy your glider.

In the new Fortnite update, they released the Rift-To-Go item, a new limited time mode, and more! The Rift-To-Go is a portable Rift that can be carried in inventory and deployed immediately. It will remain at the location it was deployed for 10 seconds, allowing other players to use it. It?s an Epic rarity and can be found in chests, Vending Machines, Supply Drops, and Loot Llamas. Drops in stacks of 1 with a max stack size of 2. A bunch of bugs have been fixed. One of the major bugs that was fixed was the Damage Traps. It will now properly affect enemy players who are within their range.
Score Royale is a new limited time mode that has recently been added. Earn points by collecting coins, opening loot containers and eliminating other players. The first to cross the High Score threshold wins the Victory Royale! Early game Storm circles are larger and the Storms move in more slowly. It allows players to have more time to spread out and loot. Late game Storms move in fast! Earn enough points for the Victory Royale before they close in.
The limited time mode Playground has been updated. A couple dozen of new ATK?s are available, some more ramps to jump them off of, and a handful of new Rifts scattered throughout the map. In the new Fortnite update, they released the Grappler item, a new limited time mode, and more! The new Grappler item attaches to anything you hit for quick traversal. Fire the grappler at a nearby object to pull yourself towards it. The Grappler has 15 charges and will be discarded when charges are depleted. It?s an epic rarity and can be found in Vending Machines, floor loot, Treasure Chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas. The moving storm has changed in this update. In the moving storm phases, when the storm reaches its destination, it will cause a surge of energy that destroys player-built structures located on the storm wall.
The Getaway is a new limited time mode that has recently been added. In this mode, players will race to find a Jewel and take it to a Getaway Van before everyone else to win the match!
Jewels can be found in special supply drop safes, located along the edge of the first storm circle. The safes take a long time to open, so make sure the area is clear before attempting to claim a Jewel! When a Jewel is picked up, it will be visible on the map to everyone for 30 seconds. It builds instantly and includes a built-in Bouncers for an easy exit. It is a Legendary Rarity and can be found in Vending Machines, chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas. v6.00 Patch Notes
In the new Fortnite update, Season 6 arrives, pets are now available, there?s a new consumable item, map updates, and more! Season 6 arrives in Battle Royale and brings new goodies with it! Uncover what?s in the new Battle Pass, explore an updated island with Pets, and become one with the shadows with a new consumable. Always have a friend watching your back when you drop in. Pets are now available in-game! Shadows stones is the new consumable item. It can be typically found around corrupted areas of the map. When you consume this item, you are unable to use weapons. You become invisible to enemies when stationary, gain increased movement speed, jump height and fall damage immunity. You get a new ability called Phase. It can be activated by pressing the Primary Fire button. It Propels you in the direction you are facing, and allows you to pass through objects. The Shadow stone effect lasts 45 seconds.

Freeze your foes and slide around for a quick getaway with the new Chiller trap. It is a common rarity and can be placed on floors, walls, or ceilings. It drops in stacks of 3 in treasure chests, supply drops, vending machines, supply llamas, and floor loot. Custom settings has been added to Playground. You can change settings such as starting health, time of day, gravity, and more!

Fire rockets in quick succession towards enemies with the new Quad Launcher to earn an explosive Victory Royale! It fires up to four lobbed rockets in quick succession. Has a 80/84 base damage per rocket and 300 unit explosion radius. It?s available in Epic and Legendary variants and can be found in chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines. The Port-a-Fortress has returned and can be looted in-game! Epic has also changed some of the loot drop rate adjustments. For example, they decreased the common pistol drop chance from 5.8% to 5.47%.

In the new Fortnite update, they released the Quadcrasher, Fortnite Competitions, and more! Try out the new Quadcrasher vehicle that smashed its way into Battle Royale. It can seat two players. You build boost just by driving, and smash through buildings while boosting. You can also launch players into the air by smashing into them.
Tournaments can be found inside of the new ‘Events’ tab available in game. This tab will host a variety of online competitions which are open to everyone. Each tournament has a series of scheduled dates and times that the competition will be run. A carousel of all upcoming competitions and times will be available for browsing, so you can plan and practice. Players are matched against opponents with similar scores during the session. Score enough points during any scheduled event session and you’ll earn a golden pin for that tournament!

It allows the player to defy gravity by holding up to 6 balloons at a time. Use the primary fire button to inflate a balloon, and secondary fire button to let go of a balloon. It is an epic rarity and can be found from floor loot, chests, supply drops, supply llamas, and vending machines. Don?t float too high for too long, balloons only last so long at max build height. The Fortnitemares event ends on Sunday, November 4 at 1 PM Eastern Time. Don?t forget to finish your challenges by then to unlock the Dark Engine Glider and be in-match at that time to witness the event.

NFL themed Outfits debut in the store starting November 9 at 7 PM ET.

Gold monsters and monster spawners drop Legendary items when destroyed.

The match begins with the storm moving towards the island, and the delay between each circle is shorter than normal, creating matches that are 15 minutes long or less. In the new Fortnite update, they released a Mounted Turrent, a new limited time mode, and more! The Mounted Turrent is a legendary trap that can be found in floor loot, supply drops, vending machines, and supply llamas. It has unlimited ammo, but will overheat if fired too often. The Turrent can only be placed on floors. You can damage the Mounted Turret by shooting it directly or by destroying structural support.
The battle of Durrr Burger versus Pizza Pit has begun. Two teams on either side of the map. A huge barrier runs down the middle. Build a fort to protect your restaurant mascot. When the Barrier lowers, destroy the enemy's mascot to win the match! Each team will have an under-construction restaurant near the center of the map. Inside is a giant mascot head representing that team. If the mascot head is destroyed, that team loses the match.
Glider Re-Deploy has been disabled in all default modes. It will remain in the larger team modes and Playground to allow ongoing experimentation with this feature. Glider Redeploy will now only activate the Glider. Skydiving will no longer be available when using Glider Redeploy.
The Skydiving state will still be activated when jumping from the Battle Bus, using Launch Pads, or any type of Rifts. If Skydiving from Launch Pads or Rifts, the forced Glider deploy height has been raised from 15.5 meters to 35 meters.
