There used to be events held by ECs to fill servers and have recruitment drives. Those were very successful in getting new members and helping fill servers that might not be full on a particular night.

Bring back server fill nights, have ECs pick an eGO server TTT, Surf, Dust2, etc. and then have everyone play on the server for the night.

As far as recruitment drives go, ECs would pick a server and members would join that server and see if there were any potential members that could be found and walk them through the recruitment process. Some nights there were games that would be given out other nights nothing. Could possibly give eGO merchandise for top recruiter for the night or for the month. Recruitment nights were very successful in getting 10+ people to join.

We used to have dedicated Recruitment Coordinators and a group that would go out, fill servers, and attempt to recruit. One of the major downsides, though, is the recruiting felt more like harassment than actually recruiting, and a decent group of pubs really did not like it (especially since some popular pubs did not want to join, but were constantly annoyed/harassed at the attempts to do so.)

Because of this, and because of poor results, about a year (maybe +) ago, we went away from that idea and instead focused on individuals recruiting and rewarding those who made the extra step. With the constant leadership changes, it seems that it just completely went away, and its kinda sad. would love to see it come back, and attempt to refill the ranks of ego again.

Then again, this is coming from a pub now, so lmao.

Leadership has talked about this many times and we decided against the idea of an RC team. The recruiting is forced and scattered. People only recruit when these drives happen and when LE is watching. Or worse, they only recruit when they get a prize for it.

We want recruiting to be more natural and organic. You notice people on the server who are regulars and who are enjoying their time, add them and make friends. Ask them “hey, I know you love the server and whatnot. Have you ever considered joining eGO?” The worst they can say is no.

Make recruiting more organic, less like a chore. Love the suggestion though!
