Hello,

I do not believe that people can reserve names. If someones in game name is Bob he can not request that no one uses the name Bob in their name. Thus, people who do use Bob in their name should not receive bans for server disruption. If Bob gets mad that my name is "Bob Approves of this Name" he should not be able to request that I change it because it has his name in it. What are your opinions about this?

I think if someone's name is unique, they can request it is, but in your case your name was directed towards me.

When I was kicked and then banned my name was "Vexi Likes This Name" and since it is not derogatory you have not a leg to stand on. You shouldn't be able to request that no one is able to use the 4 letters in the pattern that you have chosen. To say I do not want anyone to be able to have my name in their name is silly. if I log on in a week and my name is "Vexi Vexi Vexi Vexi", what are you going to do? Ask an admin to make me change it again? This is why i think being kicked for names that use other peoples names is a dangerous precedent to set

Names are used to identify people, if multiple people have the same name at the same time then it makes things a lot more difficult. I don't believe anyone can reserve a name but if you join the server with the name 'Bob' after another with the same name, it should be changed so admins and players can know who's talking to who.

Even if your name is 'Bob Approves of this name', people will call you Bob, so it causes confusion amongst everyone else in the server. It's not unreasonable to want people to have unique names so we can refer to them.

In the case of members of eGO, we literally cannot change our name so we just have to be more specific.
