Tech Help New gaming labtop or PC

Hey guys need help to find a new gaming labtop or gaming pc that can run a game with a fps on 200-300 FPS and that can run recording softwares too, for i wanna go for a youtuber while educating and just for more fun, so can see what i do at high performance

Laptop definitely that 2nd one since it has the stronger gfx card. PC also the 2nd one, though if you can you might be better building it yourself.
 
How much would you be willing to spend to build a PC?
 
BeastTheNinja BeastTheNinja You can build a sick rig for like 2k or a little more the most while gaming and recording . You probably wanna go for a CPU that has 6-8 if not more Cores/Threads compatible w/ motherboard. Get a GPU that should be GTX 1080/ti or the newest RTX 2080/ti. With memory of at least 2x8(16)GB of 3000Mhz or more . and the rest like SSD, HD, and AIO Liquid Cooling, could be your preferences . Hope that helps :biggrin_old:

If you're upgrading to an Intel processor, you'll need a different motherboard as well. Please make a new thread and not hijack this one, most of your post has 0 to do with this question and you continue to do this on tech threads time after time. It's extremely annoying. Please attempt to keep it on topic and share relevant and accurate knowledge.

BeastTheNinja BeastTheNinja before I try to set up a build within your price range for PC parts, is building something you're interested in? Do you prefer a laptop though overall? Up to you.

Mine came out to about 1720USD or ~11355 DKK (main components)
Basically what you want to focus on is the processor, the power supply, case and the motherboard. Everything else kinda can be added on over time. The other thing is the GPU ofc.

Get a decent amount of Ram and SSD.

I'll post a link to my build though, full disclosure I did buy used parts where possible. Like Simon says (no pun intended) decide what you want first. Do you want portability or do you want a set desktop. Some laptops can dock to a more powerful Desktop GPU now even but its more expensive. (ie. Razer Blade) The GPUs should be cheaper now since RTX line is out. I personally don't see the point of getting an RTX card just yet and youd be be okay with a 10 Series GTX. There's also AMD, but I'm not that well versed on that brand.

That particular line you won't see the speeds you'd want out of an M.2. You'll want to get a 970 series - 3500 MB/s as opposed to 550MB/s you would see in the one you linked.

Add in a cheap 1TB conventional HDD for games and extras in the mean time, and call it a day.

For an extra I think $70 for the 1TB, is it really worth it though? Realistically in everyday use, what are the actual benefits? Besides like a slight decrease in boot time, at the end of the day you're limited by your upload / download speeds from what I've seen unless you're writing to another equivalent SSD.

It's not about upload/download. It's about system speeds. Why would you want old tech that is 1/6th the speed of the new tech, on your absolutely brand new system? Up to Beast at the end of the day, but seems nuts to not take advantage of the latest technology.

Check out the HP omen for that budget, they are really solid. Running with last years one and its bonkers. This years has the rtx2080 for 15.000 Danish.

I just don't see how in real world usage, by a consumer, that you can notice actual differences rather than essentially theoretical speeds. For instance my laptop has a 970 m2 in it, and my desktop a 860 evo. Hardly any noticeable difference. As well as being limited by your CPU because it can't push that kind of data.

In my personal opinion, a laptop is great, but when it comes to finding one at a decent price that runs decent frames, could be a bit annoying. And with my experience, PCs just are more solid devices, and could find a cheaper and good running PC, better than a hella expensive laptop that?s portable and not even that good of frames + laptops heat up super quick and can?t tilt keyboard unless you put a USB in which makes you have to put the laptop further away from you, unable to see.
