Taylor made a post with an anonymous feedback form to provide your
constructive thoughts on the server. This was one of the replies.
"You guys act like retards (leadership) who decide to bend the rules one day and enforce them the next."
I'm pretty disgusted that a member of the community thinks its appropriate to handle themselves like this. Anonymous or not, this is not what eGO is about.
If this was you, you're probably better off playing somewhere else anyways.
I will preface this by saying I loved eGO, wore the CSS T-Shirt proudly IRL. I've been actively-inactive in eGO for the past few years. (Former OP:X leadership here) I've followed the GTA forums since the server launched (or at least soon after) but due to having a toaster of a PC up until recently I haven't been playing with the community as much.
Recently got a new box that ran games like GTA:V, I was excited to become active in eGO again.
I get online, I start playing, I make a character, and about 2 hours into it, I'm going to jail with NO control of my character. (real RP right there) all over me speeding (in a video game) and mouthing off to the cop - now this happened a while back and was before the server reset BUT that doesn't mean things have changed. Another time, recently, I had a cop (eGO rank) shoot at me because I wasn't registered in CAD, at the time I didn't even know what that was. There are kids that run around the server killing everyone, FiveM hackers spawning planes on people, and UI bugs left and right (mods amirite). Just the other day a leadership member was getting fired up over the fact I was speeding down the highway, I tried Roleplaying my case, but as soon as I realized he was a leadership member and actually upset over it, I made the more mature move by letting him have his way and not causing a scene - because had I continued it would have ended with me being removed from eGO as opposed to a RolePlaying Event.
MEANWHILE, there is OOC chat from Leadership/Devs about how they get to fly in jets and have all theses fancy cars - but only for whitelisted folk. While I'm stuck doing the same boring jobs looking for something to go on for 5 minutes and then have every cop in the server join us, 90% of the time ending with someone yelling or "trying to just fix the problem."
For someone to say that "leadership bends the rules and enforces them the next" would be an
UNDERSTATEMENT Sure not ALL of leadership beaks the rules, but to say that none of them would be arrogant.
Obviously someone was upset when they insulted leadership's intellectual state, but they bring up a good point. A better choice of words would get it across better.
People just wanna have a good-time - if people can't find it here, they WILL go elsewhere. Some of us just care about the history of eGO in the hopes that the old community members will come back. Open the server browser, do a Google search, look at Twitch, there are hundreds of servers - many of which have OC mods - we
choose to play here.
I find it disgusting that eGO Leadership would push people of the community away when they voice their concerns. They used to take that stuff seriously, not mock it in a public forum.
Unfortunately, unless you have eGO tags on, are a cop/ems/mechanic, FiveM really isn't that fun here, and its not because the jobs are boring, jail, the hospital, and the respawn screen are.
Hope I helped voice our anonymous' member's concern's a little more "maturely" than they did.
With Respect,
Shiv.
