Okay so before I make my suggestion, I could have swore there was a huge suggestion thread on here. I'm probably just a little slow, do not judge me. I know I brought this up to
Inkery
recently, but I figured I would put it in writing in the off chance that he forgot/forgets to mention it.
This will mainly benefit whitelisted jobs, and I'm sure would take quite a bit of effort on server end, so of course it's easier said than done. But most things are. As it stands, you have to wait for an O to be on the server to be able to assign your job, as well as either ask an O to set you to unemployed, or drive to City Hall to change your job to something different entirely.
I think it would be really awesome and beneficial to have a clock in/clock out system for users to clock on and off the job, just like in real life. Often times, I will work 5-8 hour "shifts" as a medic, and then depending on which O is on the server, I will ask them to unset my job to save me the trip to City Hall, and I'm greeted with a polite message of "No, drive your ass to City Hall." I just don't think it's necessary and I believe that being able to clock on and off on your own would promote more activity on whitelisted jobs (for those on at times where O's aren't on the server) as well as make it seem like less of a chore when wishing to play as civ. In real life you don't drive to City Hall to choose some random job to replace the one you actually have.
Thanks for reading my suggestion.
And Inkery, before you assume I posted this because I thought you would forget, I DIDN'T. Kappa Just wanted to promote conversation and such here on the forums.
