Create a SUPER strict anti-delay quota

One huge problem I see with many wardens on JB is the fact that it takes way too long for them to initiate a game. Luckily, my big brain has come up with a genius solution to this issue!

The simple solution is to create a timer whereas the warden must initiate a game by a certain amount of time from when cell doors open. The idea is that the server will automatically revoke warden from a player if they fail to meet the timer.

I think that this would be a good idea because it would discourage server disruption by pressuring wardens to get the round going and not keep T's waiting to play a game until they are unmuted.

To make this concept even better, we could add a 3-strikes and you're out!(TM) system whereas if this has happened three times to a player, it will automatically give them a day ban. This is similar to the karma ban system TTT has, especially from the iconic chat message which couples the delay ban.

My suggested chat messages:
1. "[JB] ANTI-DELAY: PLAYER has been revoked as warden! (WARNING 1/3)"

2. "[JB] ADMIN: Kicked player PLAYER (reason: ANTI-DELAY: PLAYER has been revoked as warden! [WARNING 2/3])"

3. "[SM] ADMIN: Banned player PLAYER for 1440 minutes (reason: You've been banned because you've hit the delay threshold!)."

I'm going to assume he means this rule:

Warden
As a warden, you must NOT …

- Keep prisoners in cells after 2 minutes from round-start.

For the record, this rule isn't saying that a Warden has to have the prisoners out of the main cell area by a certain time, but that they can't keep prisoners in their cells after 2 minutes from the start of the round. The "cells" that this rule is referring to would be the room to which a prisoner(s) spawn, not the entirety of main cells.

In a perfect and ideal world, a Warden should (keyword) have ALL of the prisoners out of the main cell area rather quickly, but there isn't anything set in stone stating otherwise. Just wanting to throw that out there (without swaying off topic too much) from my experiences so that everyone is on the same page. The last thing we need is for players to get confused.

I feel as though it is time for someone to wrap this up. The point of the eGO rulebook and policies is for things to be as simple and vague as possibly, and this was done intentionally. And now look at what we have- literally the best rulebook that you can read and get a full understanding with in an hour or two of playtime and one swift read.

Point is that if we add "fat" to the rulebook, such as quotas, explanations, or clarifications we will end up killing the condensed, to the point aspect our rulebook has. This, in my opinion, has been essential to the pG/eGO jailbreak continued success. We have been the leading jailbreak server for a long time because of the rulebook and I know this because we are certainly not on top in terms of features (which isn't a complaint. I love the quality over quantity ideology we have.)

Now when it comes to this not being the rulebook and instead just part of admin protocol, I feel as though this would cause a lot of conflict on the server where players argue certain things are not in the rules, etc.

Overall, this causes more negatives than positives and while delaying can be a problem it's certainly not a game breaking problem.

After overlooking this thread there has been quite a negative response towards this suggestion and is not something we consider looking into for future instances. Some negative aspects that I will point out include the concept of being a warden is way to situational and varies on maps having a set time would just cause problems. Not to mention the literal definition of being a warden should answer this:

The objective for the warden is to maintain control to prevent a rebellion and eliminate prisoners by giving clear & specific orders and playing games which results in killing losers and those who fail to follow orders.
If a warden is delaying the round (not playing games) then admins should take appropriate action on the player. Your suggestion is not friendly towards new players which you gotta remember not everyone has experience playing guard. New players first time playing guard or being warden typically are not perfect. Its a learning process with that in mind I am going to close this thread. Thanks for bringing it to our attention
