Is it possible to get an "official" update from current leadership on plans for this division? I know the slow death has been ongoing for several years, but are there any long term plans for eGO on DoDS beyond the scope of running (or not running) public servers? It would be a real shame to see the plug silently pulled one day when there seems to be quite a bit of interest, albeit fleeting, to revive certain aspects of the group.
I don't have any fully fleshed out ideas to improve the situation, but I'm thinking something along the lines of retaining a funded private server that can be "checked-out" for impromptu playdates or scheduled events (other still-active servers appear to use heavy scripting to great effect with automated democratic admin controls).
Also, perhaps defining a clear pathway to leadership for ambitious new or returning members that are willing to do the legwork? Maybe even host a clanwide recruiting drive just for that purpose. There may be aspiring leaders in other divisions that would appreciate the chance to flex their chops and have the time to devote to the endeavor (of salvaging the unsalvageable).
Just some constructive-intended thoughts to hopefully spark a conversation. The goal is forming a vision for this division that perhaps functions entirely different from before, but could still be viable (and alive) for eGO and its members.
