Fish in a barrel is a great opinionated game. Many Wardens, Cts, Prisoners, and shockingly Admins love this game. I was even told to suggest bringing Fish in a Barrel back by 2 admins, Jacko and Taco. The game should come back but with new rules. These rules are as such.

1) all Ts should be offered health. This was always implied

2) Cts only allowed to play if they have AK-47. This helps with spray control, damage, and magazine size.

3) 50% rule. this allows less bullets being fired, more Ts as winners, and a better experience for all

4) 2 options to play. This allows the Ts to play a different game if fish in a barrel isn't "fun" or "fair"

5) only able to play with 20 or less Ts. This allows at most 10 deaths without a freekill or mfk

I think this game can be pretty fair to players who are knew and might want to live longer. Many players have been year for a year or longer. These players usually dominate over new players, which isn't always fun for newer players. It gives them a 50% chance to make it to final 10, and I feel like we have very limited luck games. A big luck game could be considered deathcrate, which you cannot predict what direction it is going to. Both games allow you to run. hide, and crouch in order to stay alive. The only difference in this game if how you die, a metal, spinning death cube or a mob of Cts spraying you down. The game has a good concept and is often funny for both Ts and Cts.

Instead of only killing 50%, a CT gets their weapon of choice, empty it out besides 1 clip and they only get 15 bullets to shoot so when the CT dies the Ts wont have a gun to rebel with.

This is truly an Epic Gamer Idea and I support

Message brought to you by the one, the only, N0taTree

I think either this should be implemented, or you should no longer be able to play death crate as a first game.

Yes, the Ts should have a choice to play this or another game. Deathcrate is hella luck based but that's allowed first

Seems like a pain to implement best thing to do would be to watch each CT not shoot more than once and if they do it counts as freedamage

If fish in a barrel returns Warden should be allowed to take as many winners as long as he takes atleast 2. We also shouldn't get complicated with rulings around the game and let Warden decide how it should be played.

Personally I think Warden should be able play it as an opinionated game. If they really want to play it why not let them? As long as Warden doesn't delay the round too hard.

Denied because of too many exclamation points.

How can you guarantee 2 tho? If everyone gets one tapped you can't let the last two be left alone

I really don't care either way if it is back in or not, but i think making it an opinionated game like jacko said is the best way to go around it, IF it returns. im a grand ~ it doesnt really bring or take away from the server imo

First and foremost for Opinionated Games -

You must not play any opinionated-based game unless there are 10 or less Prisoners alive, and it must not be the first game of the round

To the response:
At the moment I fail to see how "Fish in a barrel" can be added back to the game without being a round "ruiner" for T's. When it was briefly allowed as an opinionated game we had players force people to decide between playing A. Fish in a barrel as an opinionated game, or B. 1 marker lives 3 markers die. (Looking at you Taco Taco )The B. was being changed out between different games such as primary secondary melee, etc. Allowing games like this allows toxic players to force players who make it later into the round to effectively ruin the chance of LR's for most people. In the example given, the warden made people choose between the two games and naturally were mixed. He had the players who chose 1 marker lives play(They all died). Then had the T's play fish in a barrel, where the T's got collated so there was only 1 LR player alive.

Even with the "Rules" for the game, you can not guarantee 50% or 2(with the current rules) would survive in a game like this.

This seems like another "AFK Colors" example, a way for players to kill a bunch of T's with little effort.

We already have incredibly toxic people force T's to play games such as Primary Secondary Melee and 1 Marker Lives 3 Markers Die. I don't see why allowing this would make rounds any better or "fun" which was the point you stressed in your previous post.

While the argument that death crate is similar to it has merit, the fact that many very popular map's closest and safest game to get to is death crate(Dojo, Beta) as well is partially skill based as you can dodge the cube (There is a reason some people survive death crate every time) is the reason that specific game is allowed, crouching and jumping around in a small enclosed space isn't very skillful when a CT can shoot at leg level thus making crouching effectively useless and in the same scenario spraying makes it so jumping isn't all that useful.

Don't take this as a complete no though. We can come up with some other form of game that is luck based, you just need to be more creative than "Go in the box and get shot at" Games such as Duck Hunt exist, which is hardly ever played and their are many other underplayed games such as Simon Says.

did you make a new thread to write the same shit, after getting mass dissaproval on the first one?

your idea is to let the warden shoot stack and then stop, assuming he doesn't kill more than half of the ts. it's not a game.

i guess you don't take "no" very well.

don't call it fish in a barrel call it low effort LR game.

Did you even read the thread? many people want this back. and i even exclaim that we can play with 20 or less meaning it's not even a game that guarantees LR.

What if we offer the ts a map game and fish in a barrel? then we can play a fair game that isn't something as toxic and one "color dies or lives" and "Primary Secondary Melee".

With the crouching aspect of the game. It is incredibly hard for the cts to aim at the legs of the Ts. the point of crouching is to avoid being dinked, and have a smaller body vertically.

We can guarantee 50% by limiting the amount of cts shooting into the "barrel"

Fish in a Barrel cannot be a round ruiner if we can guarantee 50% and Ts have 2 options to choose from, a map game and Fish in a Barrel(custom).

I am willing to incorporate a more skillful way of "winning" fish in a barrel.

One scrapped idea i've had would be giving the Ts a smg or two smgs. This allows the Ts to retaliate and try to kill the enforcers(cts)
Two smgs would allow for one of the Ts to act as a decoy if he choses so. The Ts also have a second smg to try to kill the ct by tracing where the bullets are coming from

I"m willing to find new mechanics to implement to the game if necessary.

Its a fun game for CTs, but they can go to 1v1 servers if they really want something like this. IIRC the game works with each CT shooting once and the T avoids it, how do you catch a CT who shot twice. It'll just complicate the rules which are already complex.

After taking a look at the feedback and talking with the CS Leadership team, we've decided that this is not something we will ever be bringing back. Refer to Power_Outlet's post on this for more information as to why. Thanks for the suggestion~
