So basically this came under discussion the other day, I can't say it's 100% my idea, also Marco's. However he's too lazy to actually make the suggestion, so here I am
What we'd like to see as the endgoal here is for vehicle damage to be matched to the ruleset expectation for realistic driving in regards to getting into accidents. I've no idea how possible this is, but it would honestly resolve a LOT of unrealistic driving arguments and help newer players on the server navigate this somewhat complicated concept much easier.
So the vehicles would be adjusted to take the amount of damage that would be expected IRL from any type of accident, that means the damage settings should be where if you hit a wall at 100 MPH, your vehicle is crushed. If you take out a sign post, your vehicle should be dented in where it hit, heavily, those things are cemented into the ground. If you take a NON OFFROAD VEHICLE offroad, the terrain should constantly do physical damage to your vehicle.
In addition to this, there should be physical bodily damage based on crashes. If you crash into a wall at 100mph, you should be downed. If you took a terrible turn and rolled your vehicle 5 times, you should at the very least be half half. This is all REGARDLESS of wearing a seat belt. The seat belt protects you from flying out of the vehicle, but it doesn't give you impenetrable armor.
These two changes combined SHOULD IN THEORY help to quell the complications of the unrealistic driving rules and provide a more immersive experience when it comes to vehicular pursuits while also cutting out the need to admin someone who crashed their vehicle 4-5 times in a pursuit and just keeps on going.
Anyone feel free to expand on the idea, tear it apart, hate on it, crush it's hopes and dreams, it's out of my hands now
