Giving a reason when banning or kicking for VIP

A lot of times when admins aren't on VIPs try their best when someone breaks the rules. This is done by kicking them or banning them. Yet alive players don't know what the reason is because they are talking about it in dead chat. It sorta get rids of the purpose to have them vote kick and ban because everyone always says yes no matter what. So what is my suggestion? Having them put a plugin where it allows you to put a reason on kicking them, Intentional RDM, Server Disruption, Racism, ect.

Yes, however, it doesn't show up when the vote happens.

Also can the vote ban get editted to place the ban online or in a differant way? cause some trolls disconnect before the vote is over and totally evade it.

+1. While we have to give a reason for the kick, it DOES NOT ACTUALLY put it into the vote, so I get people turning down my vote even though it's valid, and the player has been warned and told to read the rules. This extra info I think would make a lot more votes that are valid go through.

+1. That way I wont have to wait until the start of the round, announce the reason for everybody to hear and then call the vote.

This is also a great suggestion, and it can be easily done by saving the user's SteamID and adding it to the banlist if the vote succeeded.

Oh poor you, why must you go through this torture.


Sure you can add a reason on the vote itself, but they would still have to discuss (given the situation) the reason why they are voting to kick or ban for a specific reason. So why bother even adding it in the first place. Just pointless strain to the server.

Adding this feature to the vote will barely have any affect to vote success:fail ratio. For those interested in getting the person kicked or banned, will always have ways to find out what happened or will say yes nonetheless; others won't care whether the vote has a valid reason or not.

Sure it might not have a reason to have because people will vote yes regardless, but its still a nice feature to have

Well no, for those interested wont have ways to find out; Lets say quote on quote that i join the TTT server and come into a vote ban. id like to know why im pressing yes or no. The person who initiated the Vote ban doesn't always respond in time before the Vote ban hud is completed. It wont cause any harm adding it in

I hate you for this but yes, 99% of the time if the person being kicked will get kicked regardless of reason and right now without it being mandatory shows just that. But at the same time having a reason as to why they are being kicked/banned is important. Such as a DS votebanning someone for a freekill or RDM when it was a single occurrence should be recorded that this is the reason as to why the ban took place

I don't get why some people are giving it -1 while it will benfit the server.
At least players would know why someone is being votekicked and so decide to vote for yes or no.
When a DS vote kicks/bans someone they are usually dead and in 99% cases only the dead players would know why the victim is getting kicked and the alive players would like 'why? I vote no cause I don't know'.
code wise, it won't even take 10 minutes to implement it so why not?
