Allow us to hide the tags

This is simply a suggestion for admins and above.
99% of the players are aware that the =[eG]= and =[eGO]= tags mean that the user has admin powers and depending on that those would just play cool in front of the admins. no admins simply mean no rules for them.
For example, in the CSGO TTT server, some players would play with the rules as long as there is admin, most of those guys don't even communicate with anyone and literally don't care about what anyone tells them and would just continue to do what they are doing.
on the other hand, most of the online players don't know what to do and so no one reports them and players just do nothing other than complaining about them rule-breaking and mostly ending up KOSing them on the round start to prevent them from rdming others.
Vinzy/Obito/C0lin are examples of those players and the list can expand to literally more and more.
having the ability for users to hide the tags or have another name would just make it easier to catch people off guard breaking the rules.

I 100% agree with Heidi, it's a players responsibility to report a player who doesn't follow the rules when no admins are on. You can do so by making a ban request with evidence of what happened or do & follow by your message to contact admins across all servers

Heidi is absolutely correct. We don't allow undercover admining in any circumstances, as of right now. The best solution to this problem without changing that policy right now, is to just record said players breaking the rules, and reporting it to leadership. It might be something our upper leadership might consider in the future, but I doubt there'd be a way to moderate that kind of thing with 'undercover admins.'

I think you have a good basis for your suggestion, but I'm just not sure if we'd be willing to change that policy. USCG Hammer , our community manager for Admin Training and Professional Standards may be able to give a more thorough response.

I don't know if you were at the EdgeGamers 14th birthday Community meeting yesterday, But Legend, stated that "the =(eG)= =(eGO)= tags, is what represents our community, it helps distinguish our community from others." So going undercover admining, would cause a bit more rule-breaking; compared to what we have now with the tags but good suggestion imo

After several past incidents of admins abusing their privileges, the Community Management team discussed at great lengths the pro and cons. The outcome was unanimous to prohibit the use. I understand your thoughts behind this, but unfortunately, past practices ruined the idea for all future undercover secret squirrel investigators.

On a side note, do you know how hard this was to type? I'm trying to concentrate what i'm typing all the while watching Martins friends signature blinking and flashing weird block face images! Very distracting lol!
