Hello, I know this has been brought up a lot and I know you the immediate answer would be "no, just do it for RP".

After testing out the Criminal RP for myself I have found out that a lot of the players which could share the same problem and concern like me on this topics below:

Jail: No criminal in-game who does a big RP scene wants to stay in a box for a 180 mins. I know realistically you need to stay there to serve time. But at the same time I am just sitting in a box with nothing literally to do then going AFK. I was thinking we need to implement more RP in that area or lessen time for full time sentences should be changed from mins to seconds and increased if it is in seconds and doing a big RP scene to be rewarded with an hour and a half in a box is just outrages in my opinion. <--- (For the cops and people that don't agree on that topic, the next topic at least should be looked into).

High Risk = Low Gain: If I go ahead and kidnap someone and rp with them and then bring them all the way to the bank and have 5+ cops with AR's and I have only a pistol (you can't RP with an illegal guns most of the time due to the how expensive they are) you should be getting more than just 60K out of a bank. Then try my best to outrun a speed unit and sometimes a helicopter just to run away with 60K dirty money to buy a rifle with it at the end of the day or clean it for 60K clean money? The amount of risk I have done should not be rewarded with such small amount. It is not about money but still if I want to expand that RP or get stuff to get my RP expanded afterwards, If the gain is not going to be increased then you need to rob at least 2 banks in a row. If I get caught in the middle of this. I lose my guns, the money I got out of the bank + get sent to jail for at least 20 mins (depending on the cop and then stay in jail which is a square with nothing to do) and with the bills of at least 30K for the things you have done (gets taken out of your bank by force and you can't even do anything about it). When someone is risking that much stuff for a bank robbery at least the thing I could have a little more gain to actually influence people to do that kind of RP more often.

Drugs: Drugs now in the city are considered next to useless due to the fact that doing chicken runs would get you more money than doing drugs. No one wants to do or grind drugs because of the risk that they are taking and time from collecting, processing and selling those drugs. It is completely useless to have them in the city right now because close to 2 to 0 people touch drugs now and this goes back to my topic of high risk = Low gain.

This in my opinion needs to be changed. I tried with someone to get the drug dealing back and paying them money but they soon realised the amount of time and risk they are going through for something that they can do in literally half the time and get the same amount half the time as well.

I would love to see your guys opinions on this.

I think prison needs to have more RP than just sitting in a box. Maybe have AIs where people can try to break out? Jobs that can make you money or lessen your time? I do agree, sitting in a box doesn't seem that fun. As for drugs, I think the best bet is to have random locals give you jobs that will pay you clean cash for x amount of drugs. Maybe you can find out more about these people in prison or something? I also agree that bank robberies should give more cash, another thing is it would be kinda cool to get gold bars that you can sell for clean cash from banks.

My opinion on it is that there should be an opportunity for Civs to be able to have a way to break out convicts, similar to the way of a bank robbery but Way Way more RP should be involved and they should not happen often, with probably a minimum of 7 or 8 cops to be online too or so. You could trip the alarm and then have the chance to escape with the convict who would still be wearing convict clothing until reaching a clothing store. Would be interesting to see

+1 on the jail part, there should be more stuff to do, even though it is "punishment"

tbh, the money shouldnt be much more than it is, im not sure how many robberies go on at the moment, but when the money was a lot more (150-200k ish) the amount of robberies were excessive. Robberies shouldnt be a way to make a good income, but more for the RP. though there should be some balance, but thats very hard to do. and to be honest, if you plan everything out, with the right tools, the chance of getting away isnt that bad. but that could require a big investment

not sure abt drug thing

Jail should be changed so instead of booking a criminal into jail for a big RP scene, there should be a transport of the prisoner from the police station to the jail. This allows for his crew to break him free of the police while on route to the jail.

From my standpoint, and opinions.

We did at one point have it so you could move around in an actual jail cell, as well as do jobs while you were there, however somehow people were able to escape from the jail cell area and basically roam freely in the state. Only to be teleported back when they were released. Same goes with putting people in the yard, you could run around to a certain spot and jump out of the jail. So this was taken out due to people exploiting it. Same goes for the current one we have now, but it's rare'er that it happens.

High Risk = Low Gain
All of this can be contributed to constant low effort rp during robberies. This includes fake hostages who are in on it, unclaimed outside shooters/outside helpers, and the fact that people just want to get in gun fights. All of this leads up to cops not wanting to go to robberies because of their past experience with how bad they are, and can be. As well as how many happen during a day (or their 'shift')

As far as jail times, They are officer discretion last I remember, so them hitting you with the charges, times, and fines is solely on them and what they wanna charge you with. While I personally agree (and have done, and shown compassion for) that properly roleplaying a bank robbery where it's enjoyable for everyone who's involved, should get a lesser sentence and time/fines. It's just up to the officers.

Drugs is something that we can look into possibly buffing them. I know there is 1 that is currently busted (the props don't spawn for them) and we can look into making them worth while. But in the end it comes down to making them even with the normal jobs. We don't want everyone and their grandma who's in the city to just be running 1-2 drugs, we want to try and balance everything out as evenly as possible, while still having those certain jobs or drugs that take longer, to have a bigger risk/payout so it's viable to do any job, or drug run to get what you need.

To add to what Jay said about robberies. I find myself not wanting to respond to robberies anymore because of how they continue to be played out.

We roll up and the demands basically border on powergaming. For instance, the last robbery, we were told we couldn't pursue or they'd shoot the hostage. It's these kind of scenes that don't make it enjoyable for the cop side and in my opinion, robberies should be fun for both sides. It kills the enjoyment from the cop side when I'm told they'll execute the hostage if we pursue, or if we enter the building or if they see AirOne. All of them are the same. "We want $500k for the hostage release, no speed unit, no off road unit, no air one, no spike strips, no guns, no cops, no dogs, you can't pursue or we'll shoot the hostage, no bacon on the salad." At that point, I just give up and go run traffic.

And for the record, I don't have an issue with losing a robbery or any scene for that matter. If they demand safe passage and we give it to them and they juke me through some alley using superior driving skill, I'm not mad one bit. I like the challenge of pursuing someone who knows how to drive. However, if you rob the bank, make two turns to get onto the highway in your Lamborghini and then just floor it, I'm just going to stop pursuing, because at that point, it's clearly not about the roleplay.

I enjoy thoughtful scenes. We had a jewelry store robbery at one time. Max amount of cops on at the time, which I believe was twelve. They demanded nothing but safe passage. We pursued, They took us through a parking garage where they had 6 cars that were identical waiting. All 7 of them take off so now we don't know which is which so we have cops chasing all of them. It was a blast. Very well thought out and well planned.

I do agree on your statement on some people do powergame and such Adam Adam . But you gotta understand it from each party point of view. I had a thoughtful rp scene I wanted to enhance and play it out when we held hostages at the playboy mansion. We said no air one on top of the proerty and that is it. We did not care about the chase because we wanted to get into a chase.

We started the chance we got lit up near pillbox (in a vapid car btw) we hit the highway trying to get to humane lab and do something to escspe. We got pitted at over 90+ in the highway (as we are entering the highway from pillbox and not even 0.2 away from pillbox. If you want in my opinion we were put in a small rp scene at that point. Either rp injured or open fire. We couldn't run away, adding on that note no criminsl want to open fire on a cop unless they reaaaally have to. Also It is not fun when you see that cops try their best to just catch you and charge max time without thinking, that was a good rp scene let me try and lower their sentence. No they hit you with the max charges and let you sit in a box for longer.

Robberies are scuffed and I do understand some don't do it for the rp. But I will 100% assure you I will bring atleast 10-15 people out of the server. Tried to do a thoughtful rp scene but failed due to either a cop pitting him at unsafe speed (between 90-120), sprayed down after getting out from the door of a robbery (even sprayed down after just moving a 0.1 mile away from the bank). Cops tasing him as soon as he tries to get into his car and getting the hostages out.

A lot of those stuff just ruin the rp for criminals. Hence why it became more toxic and people starting whipping their lambos. Getting atleast two than one hostage.

People who main crim, infact have the hardest way to earn money due to the fact they have to do that to get the money. But when they get powergamed or I would rather say a cop just ruins his thoughtful rp and hit him with max time. It is annoying.

I don't believe any crim after a good rp scene has been sent to jail in a good manner nor I would say got some charges drop got mad. We are happy to give the cops as much rp as we can, then you get hit with loitering in a good rp bank robbery is just ridiculous.

Honestly I think the demands for a robbery should be limited to free passage (car and robbers are untouched and allowed to leave the property), No spike strips in the immediate area (two block radius?) and no air 1 for X amount of time I would say a max of 5 mins. Maybe an additional request based on the amount of hostages?

This allows robbers to have a chance to escape and make RP more enjoyable for both police and the robbers. Police would be able to utilize some of their tools like air 1 and spike strips albeit not immediately. I also think that you should NOT be able to use your own cars/cars of known associates while doing a robbery without conspiracy charges vs the person who owns the car (would hinge on the fact you catch the robbers and could prove this in court if perused). This forces people to use lockpicks to steal vehicles allowing the police to potentially foul the plan before it starts and forces criminals to think smart and stage the actual robbery properly.

The last thing I would like to touch base on is the use of force. I believe the police have every right to defend themselves but I think people using pistols who are met with police wielding AR's is a bit rough. In order for this to lead to a more prolonged, not so instant death gunfight... I would make it a suggestion that police can match the force of the criminals they are facing unless SWAT is activated. Example would be.. 2 police vs 4 criminals. Police allowed to use AR.
1 police vs 1 criminal with AR or similar. Police allowed to use AR
2 police vs 2 criminals with pistols. AR not allowed until one officer down.
Essentially, if the criminals aren't using illegal weapons, at least give them a fighting chance while still giving police the edge when outnumbered.

Personally, I pledge to work with some people to get creative robberies going. Not super outlandish but interesting and fresh. I think the whole get on the highway in my friends fast car is the most ridiculous thing to do and it is NOT fun when the same people rob the same bank 20 times with the same car.

I think a huge issue with bank robberies is it's literally one of the only "action-packed" activities a criminal can do. There really needs to be more for a criminal to do to create variety within the criminal system.

Jewelry store robberies. Gas station robberies. Convenient store robberies.

It doesn't need to just be robberies. There is a lot of content that could be added to give criminals more to do that would require the cops to think outside the box on how to actually catch them. (The whole "crime happens, cops get a pin-point location where they are" is broken to be honest)

Like when a gun is shot... it gives the cops an exact location where it was shot... that's so unbelievably unrealistic that it's not even funny. A handgun for instance can be heard up to half a mile away depending on the handgun. Rifles can be heard even further... It shouldn't be a pin-point location. It should be a radius...

There's a lot of mechanics this server could really have added to help increase variety, roleplay and overall: FUN times.

It's very clear that there's a handful of people who get on during peak times, jump in a fast car with their buddies and just go rob banks... which isn't fun for the cops and honestly, I don't see how it's fun for the criminals either. It's clearly obvious they aren't in it for the roleplay and are just looking for action... That's the main problem I see with that.

However, if there was more content for criminals to actually do - maybe they wouldn't just rush to a bank to rob every time? Not sure but that's my two cents.
