July Community Newsletter - August 23rd, 2020

With summer winding down, and players slowly going back to school, July had brought us warm sunny days with lots of laughter and fun; especially during these dark times. EdgeGamers recently celebrated its 14th birthday, with the release of the new forums. They also had extended summer for the community with the release of the new 24/7 surf summer server. As summer slowly fades away, let’s take a moment and look at some changes we had around the community in July!

Battlefield
No news from Battlefield.

CS:GO / Source
Maps have been added all over the place, especially around BHop and Surf, so make sure to check them out! We've finally done it. You can now use !knife and !ws to change your loadout! A new style (EXO) has been added to bhop. General changes have been added to most servers, with Jailbreak and TTT being the main two. Our servers are still ranking strong, with almost all being sub-100! Make sure to keep up the activity!

Destiny 2
Send your congrats to Forteces on becoming the newest D2 Manager! Destiny 2 now has it's own Discord -> message any D2 LE for the invite. Destiny 2 is also looking for EC's, message any D2 LE for more info.

Garry's Mod
GMod has recently pushed FearShop onto our servers. GMod has also added Zombie AI / Bots to help fill servers! Challenges have been added, a reward system that grants achievements after completing certain tasks. Last, GMod has added the !dropout/!dropin system which effectively lets you idle on the server.

GTA
We have added /radio, with over 800 frequencies so that you can all enjoy your own music! We've also added a brand new job, the garbage truck driver. More heists! All Fleeca Banks are now robbable. We've implemented a new car locking system, head on over to the locksmith to get a new set. SSS is getting a revamp! They've updated their fleet, ranks, and purpose! Vote HERE to get free money!

Media Team
Socials are being revamped! We will be posting more and more quality content on our socials so make sure to follow them all!

Member Services
Applications are now live for e-tags! Come join our community and try out our brand new process for applications. You can visit HERE for more information on how to get your very own e-tag.

Minecraft
MC is working on 1.16 content, and it should be rolling out soon! Events are also continuing to be held and worked on, so make sure to keep your eye out for some fun Minecraft Events!

Rust
Keep your eyes peeled... DS perks are coming very soon! On top of that, new features are also being added to our server. Fun new ways to play are coming soon!

Team Fortress 2
TF2 has just rolled out a brand new Payload Server! Hop on and check it out! There have been plenty of promotions within TF2, and also plenty of tech updates to our servers. TF2 is also looking for people to help out within their specialty teams. If you're interested, please message a member of TF2 LE.

Tech
Tech is continuing to work on the website and bring fun new (and old) features for us all to enjoy. They are also working on increasing performance for our Minecraft, GTA, and Rust servers!
