Bad Company 2 Server start up

I haven't been able to play ANY game in several weeks,but, I have been keeping tabs on our servers and we have a problem. Every time I have checked our new server it is empty. Now in the past when this happened, we lost the server,which, is why we only had one server. If Heavy metal has let's say 20 people on it, go to our new server get it going, once it is going,again say 15-20 players you can go back to Heavy Metal or whatever server you wish to play on. If you don't use it,you will lose it.

Hey Beemermarine I just came back to this because I was curious. I had to hunt down the post for it from well over a month ago and I've only found the single mention in the announcement post that the server exists. It's not on any of the server listings on the site nor anywhere easy to see.

I didn't even realize we had gone back to BF4.

Battlefield bad company 2 was my first PC shooter which was pog at the time and tons of fun, Wish I had it still.

Simon We do not have a BF 4 server anymore we couldn't keep it populated, it is our new server on Bad Company 2 with the Atacoma map, should be easily found using the server search and type in eGO and both servers should appear.

Don is very busy lately and he will add MAUL and Gameme to the Atacama Desert Server when he has time . As far as populating the server and Beemermarine's suggestion , that is what we do already , it seems to be the same with Heavy Metal , if we don't populate the server most of the time players don't join . Also ever since the Atacama Desert Server was renamed to reflect that it is owned and operated by EdgeGamers it does not populate as well , a lot of times before the rename it would populate on its own , and sometimes I could not even join because it was full , not everybody likes eGO :-( .

if you rename server, it apperars gray (dead) in players history and favorite servers. i guess, many players use these 2 options to join servers. so it may take some while for players to search for it again.
(the same happened to antiblood lately. changed server name, went gray in players history.. and if you check gametracker, their server has problems to get populated for weeks. they fell from nr.5-6 to 13 or so and keep falling)

you need more admins. to populate one but not lose control in heavy metal.

Actually I changed the name of the server 3 times and it never grayed out for me in my Favorites .

interresting... so maybe its not change of name, but change of server host.

Nope , it is the same host , same Server Provider , don't know why it is changing for you . If you put it in your Favorites it should stay there no matter what name you change it to . As far as the History I think you are right , it does disappear .

You could scroll the new server in heavy metal for those that don't know the new sever exist.
