Hi all, I've been playing on eGO for a while and this is a very small tweak that I think would be good to implement. Currently, all forms of commands that are properly typed aren't shown on CS:GO. On a server I play on, the system there is that they show ! commands (and anything beginning with a !), but hide / commands (and anything starting with a /).

The obvious difference is that this new system would allow players to discern whether or not to broadcast their commands to public chat. Situations where this would be beneficial would be stuff like !rtd, !up, !down. While obviously not necessary or explicitly beneficial, I think adding this ability would simply be nice.

Another reason / situation why this would be helpful is the fact that if you misspell/mistype a command, it will be shown in chat. For example if an admin were to try to ban/slay/etc a player and they misttype /ba n MSWS, then it will show in chat and it will be fairly obvious as to which admin typed the command. The same argument can also be made for regular commands that should generally be anonymous. (IE /up, /down). With this change it would prevent accidental mistypes from being shown in chat, any chat message starting with a / would not be shown.

I'm not sure how AT classes are these days, but we used to encourage (used to be mandatory) that admin commands were done in console to avoid embarrassing moments like that.

Edit: It looks like this is actually implemented in the server, just the opposite? (!test doesn't show in chat but /test does).

I think this should be reversed, but considering its already implemented it's not a huge deal. Very odd that eGO swapped the behaviors though.

Strange... I think? I handled the functionality when getting Maul3 for SourceMod stable. I forget which design pattern I used but I don't think I did anything drastic. You might want to check to see if that Maul chat plugging is still running.

You guys don't admin in console?
