What is the best anime genre

[Goosesk]

What is your favorite anime genre the one that shall not be named is self explanatory and will probably win

[SturmBruder]

Mecha (Mobile Suit Gundam, Neon Genesis Evangelion), then

Kodomomuke (Pokemon, Jack and the Beanstalk (1974)) then

Shonen

[Luna]

Cute girls doing cute things

[Emmitt]

As the one thing that shall not be named I assume that is comedy so then I’ll vote for comedy

[Simon]

Hard to pick just one - there's so many great shows each category has to offer.

So true. Although I wouldn't mind some more modern mystery shows on par with the quality of Serial Expertiments or Haibane Renmei. All I have is Made in Abyss to tide me over. Sadly since I've read all of Yakusoku no Neverland, I don't get that same joy of seeing the mystery for the first time.
