Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 5v5 Monthly Tournaments?

Sooo, we all know that there is a little battle going back and forth between JB and TTT. What I was thinking was maybe we can host monthly event where JB, TTT, BHOP and Surf players can join in and make their own teams? I figured this could be a good way to settle which server has the most skilled players, since me and a couple of TTT members have been experimenting with the 5v5 servers and just having fun. However, I was thinking it would be better if we got the whole of EGO involved to bring the community together in a competitive way.
I do know that we have the yearly 5v5 tournament, but maybe we can introduce this and get players competitive sides to come out, this could make players more inclined to play a lot more on our servers and even practice just plainly for this reason to try and win the tournament with their assigned team or group of friends from the EGO servers.

Open to any other suggestions regarding this and hopefully we can get this up and running ASAP if it is what the community of EGO wants.

Last time on December 19th, we had two teams per server and it was double elimination. Honestly pretty epic. JB always wins btw...

And yeah I know about the 5v5 server showoff but that happens like once or twice a year right? I was thinking we could do like a monthly thing if people are intrested to like build up to that big event?

while they are super fun, i feel like once a month is a little excessive unless we get a steady system and progression for it each month. Everytime we do one it takes quite a bit of planning for some time but we shall see what others say

Yeah I agree, a steady system would be a must since even with us TTT players when we do it, it gets chaotic choosing teams, which server to use (to get best ping possible for all players) and so on.

Maybe one day, we could have qualifier tournaments for anyone who wants to create a team. So like JB people could create teams and play against each other, and TTT, etc. Then, the top teams from those qualifying tournaments could enter the big tournament with prizes. Qualifying tournaments could be like ESL Pro League where it's a round-robin system. Are you talking about that?

well when we do these tournaments we use challenger mode and with that you can set up tournaments and create brackets etc.
everyone needs to register their teams , create accounts, etc. and with that it also provides the servers there.
i would say signing up and giving people the time to sign up, register the teams etc takes the most time as well as finding a date where everyones available and making sure theres enough people from all servers

I was thinking of something casual, like I know about the beef between JB and TTT and thought we could settle it in a fun way, but this seems like something people might be more intrested in like a prize at the end with qualifiers and so on. That is a really good idea actually
