Ladies and Gentlemen!

Thank you for haning in there for the website conversion! It is a pain to get used to something new. And since this is our first week on it, the website is not finished. Honestly the website may never be finished as it should change as we discover new games and new issues.

So, now that we have moved in to the new forums we have to start unpacking our bags.

By unpacking our bags, I mean moving in to our games and working together to make the new website feel like the home of eGO! Right now, I feel like I moved into a new home and I can't find the bathroom and keep walking into walls in the middle of the night. Surely, many of you guys are sharing the same frustrations that I am.

Right now, the website is functional. Dominion wanted to get it working as smoothly as possible before we started bringing in themes and alot of tweaks that might cause issues. Since the website is going up and down, you can agree that it Dominion's plan is the right one.


Now, that being said, it is time to start working on the looks of the site and making each division feel at home.

We are going to be open to suggestions and we want to think OUTSIDE of the box.

Now to the contest....the first thing we need are banners for each division.

The contest winner will receive a copy of a new video game given to EdgeGamers by the game's creators. We will wait on the banner before we name the game.


Now, we need a banners for TF2, DoD:S, CS:S, and CoD4. It might also be a good idea to get a Left for Dead banner as well.

We will pick the best three in each class and vote for the winner within each division.

Then, once we have the four or five division banners, we have a poll on which banner is the best and the winner will receive a copy of the Game to do with whatever they want.

Please feel free to put your ideas on how to make each division feel comfy and homey. Also, get your banners in!


Each banner must include "EdgeGamersTM" and "=(e)= +(eG)= =(eGO)=tm"

TM being the little Trademark Symbol.

Would it be possible to add a time zone calculator. Something to the effect if you input a time it gives you what that time would be in different zones..

Just curious, will the clans vote on the winning banners, or will this be the council?s decision?

We have so many talented artists here it'll be hard to pick just one; maybe multiple winners and the end-user can choose which one to display when logged in, similar to how the old site had selectable themes?

I hate to add to the barrage of questions, but I'm not sure I understand the part about each banner needing to include "=(e)= +(eG)= =(eGO)=tm". I'm assuming that the "+" was just a typo but I'm still not sure I understand. We need to have each rank's tag in the banner?
Also, I share in some of the confusion posted by others... Is this for the banner image at the top of the site or is it for generic signature banners (that would explain having the different tags)?

I realy like that you guys make banners for the site, i might do one too, but it would reeealy help if we knew the dimensions of it, and the text, and the min/max size of the text and where to post it and so on..

Just right click the top images and save them then edit them in photoshop

However, for this current theme, I'll intelligently assume 600px × 126px until told otherwise. The same dimensions as the current one,
