Just to add to our growing list of questions, and this is assuming that the banner is to go at the top of the page, should we have it line up with the grey borders that are at the top of the page (as Be.Jv has done above)? Or can we redo the entire top header? On that note, should we keep with the silver and white color scheme or can we expect the color scheme to be redone to match the winning banner? I'd be happy to do a full blown vB theme.

I would like to see some artwork for the various divisions of edgegamers. Lets just start out simple for now and see some artwork, maybe do something that will go at the top of the forums page. Remember how we had banners on all the old sites? At the top?

Just let your heart take you where it will and let us be the judge, we can worry about sizes of everything later. I personally want to see a crazy cool TF2 theme, or maybe characters from all divisions together....you guys get the idea?

My submission

edit: I thought I would just put all my submissions in one post so here are some more variations on my first. I went with 700 pixel width this time instead of 800. For the life of me I could not find a good way to incorporate the tags into the banner. Honestly I think it would be better to leave them out of the banner, but here's my best attempt anyway. I tried putting the tags at the top instead (see #3) but it ended up making it look like the Return of the Jedi logo (to me anyway). I also tried coloring the letters "e", "g", and "o" but I'm not sure I like the results. I'd be happy to make modifications based on peoples suggestions. I'll try to find time to do some game-specific banners (are we really going to have seperate sections?).

That's Impact, a standard windows font, played around with the tracking options to make set them closer to each other

To reiterate some previously addressed questions:
1. Should the banner image match the grey/silver theme of the site?
2. Does the banner need to fit in with the header, or are we going to come to some sort of compromise on that?

I'd really like to know, as it'd affect my entry.
