New Sniper weapon/upgrade?

In the new "Meet the Sniper" video, it is shown that the sniper shoots a Heavy in the head, goes through, and hits the Demoman. Could it be, that a new Sniper upgrade is double peircing bullet rounds?

i doubt it, because think about every time you've been a sniper. It's hard enough to manage a headshot but then to actually realize that you have an oppurtunity to shoot two people in the same shot. You wouldn't come across the situation often enough for it to be useful.

I also am kinda skeptical of that, mainly because during all my time as a sniper on Convoy, I don't think I have shot anyone who had another player directly behind him like that, except maybe at the beginning of a game.

Also that scene was using the movie editing software (you can see the bottle get stuck in the demo's head and flail around.) Just for nifty/funny factor in my opinion

I really don't think there are hints to ANY new weapons in these videos. That includes the pyro weapon. They are just supposed to be a funny video that shows the backround of the character.

Yeah agreed, the sniper idea is pushing it, but I do believe that's a new pyro weapon.

You don't necessarily have to be looking for opportunities. It could just happen. I play DoD:S as well as TF2, and I always love it when I decide to take a shot at someone with a rifle and find out I just got a double-kill off that shot. I mean yeah, it's not much to of an upgrade, but still.

Agreed. Any time its a group charging through, or a medic trailing a heavy it could pierce through and at least damage the next guy, doesn't need to be a HS.

I could see it being especially useful if they allowed it to pierce certain things as well, like piercing sentries to hit the engy behind it, dispensers, thin walls (like those that snipers hide behind on convoy, some glass (but no thick walls).

They could even make that the Rifle replacement, ability to pierce targets, but the drawback could be lower ammo and/or slower charge time (if they cant see you behind that wall, no hurry, right? ). Besides, the sniper still couldn't see behind those walls, except maybe for a foot, or the tip of the barrel, or intel from a teammate.
