I'm speccing. I get kicked.

What should be happening instead?
An admin is able to spec without being kicked for being "afk."

This is still an issue.

still in issue, especially if the server is full. There should be a plugin that recognizes our nametag and then exempts us from getting kicked.
example: kick_name_server64_spec > "eG" or "eGO"
