Mic problems

Ok, after I installed vista my mic stopped working, it uses the two jacks to plug into the back of my computer. I made sure everything is plugged in right but it's like windows isn't even recognizing it. Should I get a new sound card or what ? I've tried to see if it's muted but it says no mic is plugged in, and it has been in the same port for like 2 years.

You need to look up your sound card and go to the company's website and look for vista drivers for it.

I had the exact problem. Playing around with realtek fixed it for me
