Greetings,


Suggestion is to add a requirement stating that admins SHOULD say "on it" or something alike when they take the players report.

And when it's handled they SHOULD say "handled" or something alike when the report is handled.


This will be more professional, players will spend less time in admin chat reporting same stuff 5 times because admins can't type 2 words and admins will spend more time happy because of less spam.

Communication is heavily encouraged and the polite thing to do across all games. In my experience most admins communicate pretty good especially on game modes that need it a lot, like TTT.

I dont disagree communication is always better, however if every admin had to respond to EVERY report we would no longer be players if you ask me. So only because you guys cannot see everything -1 sometimes you just gotta trust the process.

I highly suggest everyone to read this again and again. Sometimes not replying might mean we are busy trying to deal with complains real quick. I find myself dealing with a lot of people who have a tendency to instantly quit once they mess up (intentionally ofc), trying to grief rounds, so I'd rather take action first, then do the talking later. It's better to get you a solution, rather than doing (optional) communication bits.

Well last week I reported a player over 5 times during a whole night, different careless rdms. Half of the CS leadership plus a few eGOs were also in the game.

Players could careless rdm, kill of location, mass and even use logic. One of the managers only cared to respond to one of my reports when using logic was fine in that situation.
In the situation I got pissed off, because here I am trying to improve my experience and other players experience yet I am not being seen or helped out.
One of the players that was causing the most chaos was kicked once and only once. Once when Carter kicked him and then nothing happened.

So "sometimes you just gotta trust the process." is straight up bullshit in my eyes.
I made the suggestion because in the players eyes, if an admin says "on it" & "handled" we feel like "alright, the admins are listening to us, cool".
But if you just ignore us several times, in the end we will get tired and just say **** it, we will take the matter into our own hands & probably revenge rdm.

1. Admin dealt with your report and have started a new report as we get around 20 reports a night, if you are on ttt at least

2. The admin that handled your report either forget who it was that was the reporter, or they wanna play the game.

If you see that there is an admin present and you had reported it but it's not taken then there is 3 things

1. Admin is on a report already
2. Admin can't find your report because of those 25 reports that gets sent in to us.
3. They are going to play the round first then deal with it when you he is dead. Or just afk in spectator

If you have reported the same thing 5 times and still no admin dealt with it.

Then we encourage all players to clip it and submit a player report on the forums.

How to report on forums

1. Get proof of the RDM

3. Open console type status grab steam id
4. Have it all copied on your pc ø
5. Open the forums go to the button hit player report then press new post.
6. Fill the page as it says
7. Submit the report.

Then max 24 hours you have a respond.

I think you're one of a very small minority of players that bring up every single issue that they experience to admins. At the end of the day this is a game, admins are players, and we're all just trying to have fun. If we aren't responding then we might still be handling it, and even if we aren't handling an issue, no need to make a hissy fit over it (ie spamming admin chat). If you believe an admin is simply doing a bad job then feel free to make a CL. Keep in mind they're not paid, they're not all seeing, and they aren't expected to babysit 24/7.

This is very well said. I can understand players not "getting" their reports handled and getting mad but you also have to look at it through our eyes. We want to play as much as you guys but while playing we also have to deal with the many many many reports that come in every round "jb and TTT". It is almost impossible that everybody's report will get handled unless there are a lot of admins on. The thing I tell everyone is, if you report someone and nothing happens, don't spam admin chat and get the admins mad. Just make a player report and put in the player report I reported this to the admins multiple times and nothing happened. Then give your evidence of reporting it and of what the person did "logs or videos", the admin and player most of the time will be talked to and the situation will be handled.

I have never seen an instance in my whole time in eGO that breaking a rule in return would fix the problem.

Everyone has said it here already, admins are players- we want to play and have fun. It can be hard to do that and keep up with everything at times. I can only imagine what JB with a full server is like in the terms of reports. Santa said it well too, simply put, report it.

As the GOAT MSWS has said, not a single one of our admins are being paid to do the things they do day in day out on our servers. We thank the admins for doing the things they do and if an admin is not doing what is expected of them then they will be handled. (Just a reminder they are doing everything for FREE) However, throwing on a hissy fit and raging about admins not doing what YOU think they should be doing is not a great way to send a "message" to our admins that are once again doing it for free to make sure that YOU are having fun ....... Also, yes they can be relieved of their "duty" as admins if they do not wish to be admins / moderate our server and their powers / tags can be taken away, but a vast majority of them do not do that because they WANT to help the server by dealing with reports and keeping our servers clean.

As the GOAT, Santa said above we are all players, we play on the server for fun and that is our main objective when we hop onto the server. I doubt a single admin hops on just so they can moderate the server alone and if they do, do that then they have lost the purpose of them beginning to play on our servers in the first place (TO HAVE FUN) .... they hop on to have fun and moderate the server as they have "fun". Them missing a couple reports every now and then while having "fun" should not be a reason for demotion or a talking to, they are doing what they have joined the server to do with an extra bit of responsibility (which is to make sure the rest of our player base is having fun). Now do not get me wrong if an admin is just simply ignoring admin chat messages feel free to report it as santa has said but try to think of the admins too, especially on a full server.

All of those things are done in admin chat and normal players of course can not see those messages. There are a lot of amazing points made by other admins, TTT admins, and LE members. There's not really much to add here but I'll throw in my two cents. I've also stated similar things in many other different suggestions before, if I left something out here it may be in another response.

• Admins do almost always communicate when possible, both to the reporting user and other admins
• Admins will usually handle reports by priority. A Mass RDM or Revenge RDM report will take priority over a normal RDM report which will take priority over freedamage, etc
• As other people have mentioned, just because no response is made does not mean it's not being handled. Personally, I try to respond best I can, but when I'm juggling 5+ reports at the same time, it's easy to forget to respond to the reporter after it's done. Or even when you're handling multiple reports at the same time, saying “on it” or “I'll look into it” will take too long as you're actively engaged in multiple conversations but you'll make a quick message to the reported player in between the conversation

Do NOT Revenge RDM, it's taken a lot more seriously than a normal RDM. If I were to be overrun on a server with reports, I will always handle a Revenge RDM/Intentional RDM case as a high priority.

When it comes to communication in reports, it's done a lot better in TTT due to the chaotic nature of it. It's something that's ESSENTIAL to be able to effectively admin TTT, while JB is more tame and can be handled even without communication.

This is also true. If you report every last thing, it makes determining the priority of your many reports much harder, and it'll be assumed that all future reports from you will be of less seriousness or importance compared to say, someone who only reports when there was a more serious offence, and lets accidental RDMs or freedamage off. Ideally this wouldn't be how things work, but when there are so many reports that you can only handle some, you will eventually have to choose, and when that happens, higher priority or more serious reports will be taken care of first.

Also, remember that not all admins are trained for or able to keep up with the fast-paced and complicated nature of TTT admining. Some admins may just be there from a different division game group or another server, and have no idea how to admin TTT or can't keep up.

Keep in the mind that this is all from my POV, I spend more time admining than I do playing a lot of the time, I've thrown away many rounds to do it and will sit in spec instead of playing if needed. We do not ask for that of our admins, as has been said above.
