just got my town to level 3 my storage capibility is 2160 for wood and 720 for everything else i think i need the marble stuff most tho so i can turn my town into level 4

You need to research and build an Embassy. I think you need in Foreign Cultures in Seafaring.

Once you complete Wealth the game gives you 50 of each resource I believe, that should get you upgraded.

I am about to upgrade my first colony, already upgraded my palace. Still need to upgrade the second colony, though i might do it later. Crystal colony coming soon. Can't send marble yet.

You have to be high up in the research and it allows it. They are VERY expensive to get and maintain initally.

You have to be high up in the research and it allows it. They are VERY expensive to get and maintain initally.

Specifically, you need to Research up to Expansion. Then you build a Palace in your city, which allows you to setup a colony on another island (I would recommend Marble, Wine, Crystal, and Sulfur in that order of priority).

For every colony, you have to upgrade your Palace to the next level which gets incredibly expensive very quickly. Colonies are not cheap, but the benefits outweigh the costs by allowing you to be self sufficient and prosperous.

Each of your colonies will require a Governor's Residence, which is on the same upgrade costs as a Palace. for each colony, you have to upgrade not only your Palace, but ALL of your Governor's Residences in order to avoid Corruption. Corruption affects the happiness of your people (- population growth) and your gold income.
