do you only care about reliability and longevity for a car when purchasing?

No but as a college student it's a principal factor. I also want it to have Bluetooth and blind spot indicators which means it needs to be newer than 2016 but I hear most cars that are newer than 2016 don't last more than 5 years unless you are like a mechanic or mechanical hobbyist, which I am neither, I am a computer nerd.

Personally, I love mustangs and dodge chargers. I used to own several mustangs and one dodge charger but unfortunately my dodge was rusting in the back end of it.
