Working my way back to Battlefield BC2

Played BC2 for years ... years ago, was an eGO for a while and loved playing and admining Heavy Metal. Been working a lot out of country with no time to spare. However, I am making a commitment to get back into the fold, play some BC2, Apache my way around the Russians, drop a few drones, snipe some mountain wall crawlers, and put some pain on some medics. And when the time is right, work towards getting my eGO back. I hates the cheaters and gamers who intentionally wreck the gaming experience on Heavy Metal.
Most of all, I want to play with old friends and see who is still around kicking up dust.
I am in the process of buying some gear to get back into it. Any advice on headgear for comms?

Welcome back, long time no see. Hope lifes been treating you well!

These days I usually tell people to get a mic and headphones seperately - opens up lots of options for better gear overall. Even the Blue Snowball mic + your headphones of choice are a solid option.

Thank you for the warm welcome guys! My gosh Beemermarine, it is really good to see you here.
In a few weeks or so I want to get back on path to get my eGO back. I love playing on the eGO servers, and dislike punk players.

I have been busy with life (excuse), and the out of country thing puts a whole new variable on "personal time". However, I am making a commitment to my self and doing what I enjoy, which is playing BC2. I literally have over 5,200 hours playing on eGO servers logged on Steam.
So that makes me want to ask this question in the BF forum. How many hours have you played (per game) on the eGO servers? You can use your stats on Steam to help you calculate.
