recently soundboards have become a huge problem in jailbreak, not sure if rules have changed I looked everywhere if the rule is changed but it hasn't, soundboards were always considered "mic spam" and admins have not been enforcing the rules. admins need to start enforcing the rules more and muting sound board users

As far as I know, and how I admin myself, soundboards do not have to be mic spam. If it's just something quick or like Otorhinolaryngologist Otorhinolaryngologist said a warden intro at the start then I'm allright with it. If it is actuall spamming, loud or just annoying to a bigger group of people then I mute and warn them.

But ofcourse I'm no AT so I'm sure and AT (like @Trinity hehehe) has a better answer for you.

Unless its obnoxious, loud or inappropriate in any other way I don't mute right away.
Ofcourse if somone asks for them to be muted then I will. Basically as long as everyone is vibing I'm not about to ruin their fun.

if it passes like 10 secs I feel its a bit much warden intros i don't find bad because the t's are already in cells and most times its till like 7:36 and its a creative twist.

I don’t want to be a debby downer, but I agree with him on this, soundboards are just default not funny, it is already annoying enough as it is hearing everyone talk over warden, now that soundboards are thrown in with it all I barely even play with voice_enable 1 on. I think admining for soundboards is a step in the right direction to make mic spam less obnoxious.

Theres definitely a distinction between mic spam and appropriate soundboard use, it depends on the admins online to sort that out. I think most of us enjoy a lil goofy ahh shenanigans as long as the server doesnt derail into degeneracy.

That said, Ive been told to stop doing my warden intro by an admin when I only play it for around 5 seconds and afaik no one else was complaining in chat.

We have a (maybe unofficial?) rule that music is allowed so long as nobody complains. As soon as we see one complaint in chat, we have to mute / ask the player to stop. I personally think this can apply to soundboards / warden intros.

i hate soundboards

When used improperly, yes they can be annoying. But, as a sound board user myself I think when used at appropriate times, it can add to the energy of the server.
yeah! I found you're warden intro on one map very creative on how u said there being relocated etc and only 2 will be the last one stading etc

I agree. I used to play Bob Marley during LR at the end of each round and, for the most part, everybody enjoyed it. But now mic spamming has gone too far. I've stopped and I think admins need to enforce the rules on them more strictly now because its not fun anymore.

I love warden intros and they always make me laugh. Sound effects like a scooby doo laugh or goofy ahh type noises are funny too imo. Music on special days is alright as long as the song is good. What I do not like is when someone plays music during a normal round for an extended period of time. If I am trying to hear warden and someone is playing music it can be annoying.
