Military Veterans!

THANK YOU VETERANS!

We here at eGO want to recognize every single one of the people who are willing to put their lives on the line for their country. Yes, We are a United States-based clan, and it is no coincidence that this is coming out on the celebration of our independence day. In order to recognize those who have made the commitment to defend what they believe in with [their lives, we are awarding a new ribbon to ANYONE who has served in the armed forces, for any country. We are a world-wide organization and we want everyone who stands up for their country to be recognized. From this point forward, ANYONE with military service, regardless of country, will be given this award. Thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for what you believe in. Your efforts are not overlooked. The fact that you can play here emphasizes that you have freedom and those of you who've put your lives on the line for that freedom is what we are recognizing.

Thank you all for your service and thank you all for playing with eGO. Our hats are off to you! Your ribbon will be awarded soon.

Thank You

Thank You ALL
For Keeping us Safe & Free!!

[subtle_turtle]

Thanks to all of our armed service members! Your service is very much noticed and appreciated, and our thoughts are with you!

I know it might be a lot of work, but I think it would be cool to skin the ribbon to represent the country the recipient served. So if someone was in the IDF, it could be blue and white. That way it would honor both the person and the country.

Just my 2c,

Wintermute

[WhiteSoxFan5622]

Thank you for keeping the U.S. safe and defending our freedom!!!!!!!!

[Zopy]

Thank you to all of the people who were awarded that, for putting your lives on the line to let us live free.

You guys are the best.

[NinjaFluff]

Thank you to all who served or are serving, regardless of branch or country.

[Sixxgunn]

We are aware that not everyone serves from the same country and we're working on a new ribbon that is just general military service. We meant no offense to anyone by having it red white and blue. Hang in there folks!

[SkeletalPhrame]

It is a great honor to be recognized by eGO for something that all of us service members do willingly and without seeking special attention for it.

On behalf of all of us who serve, thank you for giving us a reason to! Without our freedoms, there would be nothing worth putting our lives on the line for willingly.

A bit of background on the model for this ribbon. The ribbon was modeled after the Army Distinguished Service Cross

.
This award is the second highest in the Army next to the Congressional Medal of Honor. If a member of the Navy, Marine Corps, or Air Force are ever awarded it, it becomes the third highest next to the Navy Cross(for the Navy/Marine Corps team) and the United States Air Force Cross. Wear this ribbon with pride, for it is modeled after an award of great significance.

Semper Fidelis!

Gratz all

But what bout Lawlor?

[sarg]

I spent 3 years in the Army and 1 year in Veitman with the 25th infantry, two purple hearts and a combat infantry badge. I guess that would make me a veteran also.

[Wintermute{A|R}]

I meant no disrespect to the ribbon, nor the creator!

And thank you to all the people that serve, no matter where you live or where you serve. You are heroes.

[DeaconBlues]

This is a very special thing that eGO is doing by recognizing those that have put the security of others before themsleves.

I am curious how you know who is a vet and who isn't a vet though.

[Currahee]

I owe each one of you a handshake and a beer at the very least.

There was a post that went all through June asking all military veterans to post up on it. If you didnt post, you didnt get recognized. So you had to be willing to say that you were a vet. Of course at the time, noone knew that this kind of recognition was going to happen. It was more of a "Hey, who is/was in the Military? Cause we think you are pretty cool for what you do." type of post.
