Hello all, once again! I have yet another suggestion for the 1.21 SMP world that I believe can improve the mechanics of the game. Currently, the server has an AFK-tracker that tells you when you are recognized as AFK, and also gives you a message saying you will be moved in 5 minutes. It then teleports you to the spawn, where you can AFK indefinitely. Although I feel this is helpful if you are in the wilderness or unclaimed land, unfortunately, it does impact the farming aspect of the game.

The Problem:
The major issue with the current system is this prevents players from AFKing their own personal farms for longer than ~15 minutes at a time. Minecraft as we all know requires many different types of farms to be successful, including food farms, XP farms, iron farms, netherwart farms, you get the jist. This aspect of the game has always been largely focused on by the community, with various dedicated builds and systems being developed to efficiently produce these items with the least amount of effort. For a lot of these farms, the easiest way to accomplish this is simply time. Unfortunately, due to the AFK timer, you are unable to do this for large amounts of time and it completely halts farm production.

The Proposed Solution:
In order to allow players to utilize their own farm designs to the best possible extent, I believe it would be a good idea to remove the AFK auto-move feature when the player is on their own claimed land. This allows players to AFK their own farms without needing to get sent to spawn after a short amount of time. Although it does come with the risk of a player potentially AFKing in an unsafe spot on their claimed land, this is easily preventable with either some lighting or an AFK box. This way, players can use their farms for longer periods of time, rather than returning every 20 minutes just to have to teleport back and restart the farm.

I'd love to hear your guys' feedback on the matter, so feel free to let me know your opinions!

That's actually the entire point of the AFK mover. There are several reasons for not allowing players to AFK in the overworld.
1. If we have a large group AFKing at scattered automatic farms, it does actually hurt the performance of the server for those who are actively playing the game. By moving AFK players to a single world, you can afk anywhere in spawn, it reduces lag from loaded chunks and from high lag inducing farms. Also, if a farm messes up and starts dropping a massive amount of items on the ground staff is stuck trying to locate the problem for a longer time.

2. This provides an unfair advantage to players through a few different avenues. Not everyone has the ability to just leave a computer running for days on end. I might only be able to actively play for 1 or 2 hours but can leave a computer running 24/7 while another player might have 3-4 hours they can actively play, but they are unable to AFK as long.

3. Farms being able to run 24/7 allows players to accelerate the inflation of the economy. We want this server to not be reset for a year-ish. Allowing for AFKing near farms would mean in less than a month the economy would be completely unusable for a new player. We have players on the server that if allowed, and they wanted to, could crash the economy in less than a week with AFK farms.

4. McMMO parties. Currently the reason McMMO parties are balanced is you are required to be within a certain range of your party for the XP bonus. That bonus goes up the more players in your party are nearby. If 10 people in a party are AFK in the same base and only 1 is active the entire groups levels will go up with an accelerated rate. McMMO is supposed to reward and incentivize active play. Allowing infinite AFK in bases would mean a player could jump in 1000s of ranks without ever being active on the server.

I'm sure I've missed a reason or 2 here, but these are some of the reasons that won't ever be changed.
