Hello all, once again! I have yet another suggestion for the 1.21 SMP world that I believe can improve the mechanics of the game. Currently, the server has an AFK-tracker that tells you when you are recognized as AFK, and also gives you a message saying you will be moved in 5 minutes. It then teleports you to the spawn, where you can AFK indefinitely. Although I feel this is helpful if you are in the wilderness or unclaimed land, unfortunately, it does impact the farming aspect of the game.
The Problem:
The major issue with the current system is this prevents players from AFKing their own personal farms for longer than ~15 minutes at a time. Minecraft as we all know requires many different types of farms to be successful, including food farms, XP farms, iron farms, netherwart farms, you get the jist. This aspect of the game has always been largely focused on by the community, with various dedicated builds and systems being developed to efficiently produce these items with the least amount of effort. For a lot of these farms, the easiest way to accomplish this is simply time. Unfortunately, due to the AFK timer, you are unable to do this for large amounts of time and it completely halts farm production.
The Proposed Solution:
In order to allow players to utilize their own farm designs to the best possible extent, I believe it would be a good idea to remove the AFK auto-move feature when the player is on their own claimed land. This allows players to AFK their own farms without needing to get sent to spawn after a short amount of time. Although it does come with the risk of a player potentially AFKing in an unsafe spot on their claimed land, this is easily preventable with either some lighting or an AFK box. This way, players can use their farms for longer periods of time, rather than returning every 20 minutes just to have to teleport back and restart the farm.
I'd love to hear your guys' feedback on the matter, so feel free to let me know your opinions!
