Games already ask for kernel level access, which is a no-go for me personally.
It's already bad enough publishers are collecting our personal data and using/selling it.
Why trust corporations with access to our PCs??

Trading privacy/security for generic multiplayer slop is crazy, but many of us do it; younger gamers not even realizing the future impact it could have on consumer rights if EVERYONE is just willingly giving their info away for no incentive or reason.... (edit: the incentive being the ability to play the game......no thanks + refund)

I understand the notion of having nothing to hide, but it's the same with the law. Innocent people need a lawyer just as much as the guilty, as to avoid being falsely charged and convicted.

Everyone should have a basic expectation of privacy, whether it be physical or digital.
Privacy is a fundamental freedom that every living being on this Earth should have.

I certainly support anti-cheats that stop absolute game-ruining hackers from running rampant on many games. Who remembers the CoD:MW2 era of chaos?

On the other hand, I'm very tired of games requiring more bloated launchers and nonsense just to play. Steam is enough, I don't need a game I purchased via Steam to launch EA's junk and then launch a launcher for my game, then finally play.

More tired of what's basically bloatware, than anything else.

just to say not that it does lol but I don't need Cookie Clicker to run a scan on my computer just for a click adventure lol

I say no to a certain extent, like scanning for cheats yea sure go for it, scanning just to scan my pc for anything and everything nah/or putting unwanted programs on my pc.
