Has anyone played the 2v8 mode? It's back and currently going from Aug 19 - Sep 2. It seems to have undergone some changes since the last time they had this mode available; Legion balance, new maps, and also the ability now to wait for a killer match while playing as survivor. Killers and Survivors still choose from four different classes each, which already come with perks, instead of selecting them normally. Not all killers are playable however. (no Michael Myers :( )

A couple of my buddies told me about it before but I never tried it until this weekend. I must say I have been enjoying it a lot. Probably more so than the standard 1v4 as of right now. I find it to be much more chaotic, more fun, there is a lot more happening, and it also seems to be quicker from what I noticed. Although sometimes there can be problems trying to communicate with other survivors, or being left in a cage for too long. I also noticed that most players will start to camp the gates when there are only 1 or 2 gens left, relying on the others to finish the gens, ultimately resulting in more survivors being sacrificed than there should have been. All that aside I see that players are split on the game mode so I wanted to ask those who play DBD or who have tried the 2v8, what do you guys think?

Those games scare me too much and I can't stand the stress XD
I can understand that, when I first started playing it took me a little while to get used to it.

You could play as Killer :) that way you are the hunter and not the hunted. Or even play with friends on a private match. Also what helps me personally is I try to not focus on winning, (getting a 4k or escaping) but rather doing the challenges, maybe trying out a new build or just trying to improve certain skills. But overall I do my best to enjoy the game and just have fun with it, whether its a win or loss.

If other players are being toxic (survivors t bagging, clicking flashlights) you can always treat them like a naughty little shit or perhaps a spicy kitten and pretend you're putting them in time out or something when you hook them. It helps me anyway lol.

I remember a looong time ago when the game first came out, everyone died except me (Laurie Strode) and I was playing against Michael Myers

it was midnight and I was terrified lmao, I disconnected and went to bed HAHAHA

I've become a seasoned vet since, now only rarely disconnecting from the seething rage of being tunneled by killer haha.

Looks like 2v8 was extended another week and is now going until Sep 9
I think they should add it as a permanent mode, or at least make it available more often in the future.

If anyone wants to group up and play my discord is e3uphoric, I am also willing to start with some private matches to practice, and also help out any new players who are interested in trying it. There's kind of a lot to learn right off the bat and it can be a bit much, so it will help to get a crash course on the progression, perks, items, prestige, how each killer moves, their abilities, and other strategies in game.
(There are also many guides and tutorials on YouTube if one prefers that)

I've been playing it the past week and 2v8 is very addicting lol
I have seen you on it! :) Glad you are enjoying it as much as I am

Never gotten into DBD but might check this out since I already own it
I recommend it, although a lot of new players have a hard time, there are tutorials in game which also reward you blood points (up to 100,000 I think) to help you get started and buy your first perks, items, and offerings in the blood web.
