Hey Dev (MS), a couple of weeks ago I was complaining in-game about the current system, which uses the interact button for both picking up props (or dead bodies) and identifying bodies. It's kinda frustrating to send ragdolls flying every time you identify a body but it's even more annoying to pick up the guns they dropped at the same time. I feel like every other time I scan a body next to another player I'm getting killed by them as I switch weapons to the gun I accidentally picked up.
It would be nice if a different input could be tied to identifying bodies and/or moving props, so that this doesn't happen as often. If Moving props remained the same (E by default) and Identify bodies got switched, let's say to your Inspect Gun bind (F by default), then you would no longer accidentally pick up guns while trying to scan a body AND the ragdolls would no longer go flying from temporary physics interaction. Also, this would allow easier repositioning of bodies by T's who could kill someone and hide it without scanning them (at risk of still being caught and killed for Traitorous activity).

Another idea that would be cool to see, if it were even possible to implement, is a sticker tied to Detectives' DNA Scan. So whenever a dead body is scanned it gets tagged with a floating sticker that lists information like their name and the name of their killer, this way other players can see the information and the lobby doesn't have to just remember the Detective's KOS's or Proven Innocent calls for the rest of the round. (on top of all other instances when these Detective Confirmed Roles can't be permanently visible to other players)
This feature could still be defended against as a T if they are able to kill the detective who Scanned and then hide the stickered body so that nobody else sees it. I've been killed multiple times as a D right after scanning a dead body so I couldn't share the information, this would still allow similar scenarios but make it slightly more difficult for the Ts.

TheShovL TheShovL thank you for the suggestions!

With the most recent update, you can now identify / move bodies (and props) with the +inspect keybind (default is F). This should help you avoid equipping buttons when trying to ID / move bodies. As for separating the functionality, it is currently intended functionality where you must ID a body in order to move it. The gloves item offers the perk of being able to move a body without IDing it.

For your second suggestion, a large part of the gameplay is figuring out who is KOS and keeping track of detective's calls. Stickers are already very powerful for the detectives, and giving them additional mechanics on top of stickers likely won't happen for a while. The current gameplay is fairly Inno-sided, so I'll likely favor giving Traitors more tools before focusing on inno's / detective's items.

Thanks MS MS ! Awesome update!
(now when will we get an update to the official rules?)

MS MS I get the intentional dual-purpose Scanning+Moving bodies so as not to allow Ts to hide bodies without scanning them, but it would still be nice if there was a dedicated input for ONLY body IDing (maybe inspect weapon), then another for prop grabbing that also inherently IDs at the same time. It still seems like a lot of times the body is identified (with interact key) and gets ragdolled or (with inspect) just falls through the map/a wall . When bodies disappear like that after being moved by an innocent player they're no longer in-game for Detectives to use DNA Scan on, which is a huge nerf for the already expensive (albeit very useful) ability.
