How long have you been around eGO?

Back in the day? Old Fart! We use to play for hours and hours from afternoon to the next day wee hours in the morning. CSS and Call of Duty! What great memories we had. Get back into CSS so I can own you!

Love these history style threads. I started playing jailbreak as a literal child when CSGO was still new. I came from the merger in from Prestige Gaming, which if I'm not mistaken was a breakoff community from this one to start with. Beginning to play eGO CS servers in 2017-2018, I was banned in 2019 for a multitude of reasons as a troubled player at the time. I successfully appealed in February 2025 and by July I was leadership through sheer activity and dedication to trying out something new for minecraft. Which didn't work out but we tried!!

I come back for egos punk free gaming mentality, and the way our community is structured. These things have kept me around for the long run.

Officially became a member on my 13th birthday in July of 2015. I was gaming on eGO servers way before that. Both on Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Minecraft.

Received my eG by September of 2015.
Received my eGO by October of 2015.
Was an Advisor (now called Manager) before my 16th birthday in June/July of 2017.

I found the dust 2 and jail servers on css, then kalt and donner on dod. After realizing they were all eGO I decided to join. I took a very long break though, it was a while after we had started up csgo servers.

Played Dust_2 server on and off since 2014. Dust became my main and refuge in 2017. Officially became a member in 2019. Only the demands of a growing family have pulled me away, but I cherish the phenomenal memories, people, and friends I've made on Dust_2 and Media Team. They are all sooo amazing.

I stand as their grateful and loyal advocate.

• since pG will be 9 years in May
• and since the merge will be 8 years in May.

But, of course I did step away for about 3 years and just returned last year full time.

We had to fight to get you that manager position lol. I did promise them it would be worth making it happen (it was). We even had one of our other managers run to the bathroom on what i believe was a date so he could join TS to be there for the promotion. Fun times.

This post is slightly inspired by the History of eGO post from last month.

I applied and got accepted on January 16, 2011, and was granted my =(e)=™ that day. I included the trademark symbol because we were still using that with our names as we pushed to trademark our branding. However, I've been around the community in some capacity for a year or so prior to joining. I used to play our Dust server (de_dust, not 2) and Jail, even though I wasn't good at the mode. All of this was done on my eMachine computer with 15-30 average fps.

With that said, I extend the question to you: how long have you been around eGO? This isn't just for members and admins. If you aren't a member, we're still curious to know!
