Honoring Those We Lost: Our In Memoriam Page, Renewed
EdgeGamers has always been more than a collection of servers. We are a community, and for many of us, a family. Over the course of two decades, we have been fortunate to share countless nights, friendships, and memories with people from all over the world. We have also, in that time, said goodbye to some of them far too soon.
Recently, we took the time to go back through our history through old threads, forum posts, and the memories shared by those who knew them to make sure that every member who left a mark on this community is given the recognition they deserve. In doing so, we realized that several names had never made their way onto our In Memoriam page. Today, we are correcting that.
Our In Memoriam page has been updated and expanded to include the members we had missed. Among them are veterans whose contributions helped shape eGO into what it is today from the early days of our Day of Defeat and Counter-Strike servers to the leaders and personalities who defined entire divisions. Each of them gave something to this community, and each of them is remembered here.
We encourage every member, new and old, to take a moment to visit the page, read their stories, and reflect on the people behind the names. Many of them were friends, mentors, and teammates. Some you may have played alongside without ever knowing it. All of them are part of the history we carry forward.
To the families and friends who shared these members with us, we thank you. The friendships we build here are real, and the people we lose are never truly gone so long as we remember them.
