Seeding tag?

I was thinking that we could make some tag to go on the end of our names so everyone knows we are afk and just seeding the server before we have to go to work and what not. Maybe like
=(eG)=? ?|??m?? or something.

Acctually, in the mornings it is very slow, and needs bodies to help fill it up. Also, it couldn't hurt anything. There should be admins on the server by that point and especially with a tag on that lets them know we are seeding it is just a quick kick to open the slot.

I think what Ice is saying is in the mornings when some of the servers are empty to help fill them up by idling in the server while at work; then when it gets full an admin can kick the seeding players.

actually we have been talking a lot about doing this in the morinings

with all the servers we are trying our hardest to keep them filled, even if it means going afk in them

especially during the slow times of the early morning

as for a tag to show we are AFK, i always find it easier just to tell the admin in the server what im doing and to kick when the server starts to get going

Yea, but I get on and see about 5:30 am CST. So the server is usually empty. So there is nobody to tell lol.

Its a good idea. Why not just [AFK]? Its a bit more self explanatory imo.

Thats the thing is it is self explainitory for it to be [AFK]. Like its mainly the fact that there may not be any other admins on the server at the time. So is less likely for some punk to be like "oh the admin is afk so lets take advantage." Of course if they are on the same team then its still kind of obvious.

Well to be honest if an admin is paying any kindof attetion to what he is doing he will be able to kick before the server gets anywhere near full. Its pretty easy to spot an afk player. So i would say that thier is really not much need for this. But it is still a good idea. Also yes (S) is much better as it would keep punks from starting any stuff.)

Good idea but if the pubs ever found out it would totally wreck the server if there weren't any admins in there. They would see the admin visibly afk and would get away with murder.

They would notice the fact that we were sitting in spawn more than our names.
This is an excellent idea and I will wear the tag while seeding unless council or advisor tells me to take it off.

You don't need to sit around in spawn, that would mess up your stats showing you had played a class longer than you have (if that matters to you). Just join team spectator.

If you are going to idle, you idle in spectator, rather than on a team.

Yes, don't idle on teams, as that
1) Gives our severs bad reputation
2) Unbalances teams

Yea, didnt mean idling on a team, just like an admin joins the server, its almost full I have at the end of my name, no need for checking into me being around or not because of the tag and I am swiftly kicked to make room

After discussing it, we think this is a great idea. Use the tag if idling in the mornings. Join spec. When the server gets full, any admins on the server, go ahead and kick anyone in spec with the tag.

PLEASE be sure to remove the tag when you get back on to play for real.
