Over the past several months, EdgeGamers has experienced a significant shift in culture, momentum, and direction. Both @Legend and @masterofpuppets have played an important role in that progress, bringing years of leadership experience, a deep understanding of our community, and a renewed commitment to helping EdgeGamers move forward.
Having previously helped steer EdgeGamers as an Executive, Legend brings a wealth of leadership experience and perspective. After taking a well-deserved break, Legend returned with renewed energy and quickly made his presence felt. He's been instrumental in revitalizing our former Media Team into the News team, helping keep members informed, engaged, and connected to what's happening throughout the community. More recently, he's become heavily involved in WARDOGS, helping shape the division and build on the momentum we've seen in recent months. His willingness to step back into leadership and contribute wherever he's needed speaks volumes about his continued dedication to EdgeGamers.
Mop, meanwhile, has been part of EdgeGamers' story since its earliest years. As one of the individuals who helped establish our Team Fortress 2 division back in 2007, his contributions have left a lasting mark on the community. His previous time on the Community Management (now Community Directors) team brings invaluable experience, but it's his continued involvement that makes this return particularly meaningful. From leading efforts to revitalize TF2 and reconnect members with a division that helped define EdgeGamers, to supporting recruitment, welcoming new members, and contributing across the community, Mop has consistently demonstrated his commitment to seeing EdgeGamers succeed.
What makes these promotions especially meaningful is that neither Legend nor Mop is returning simply because of what they've accomplished in the past. Both have continued to show up, take initiative, and invest their time and energy into the future of EdgeGamers. They understand where we've come from, recognize where we're headed, and share the commitment to making this community the best it can be.
As we continue building on the momentum of recent months, having experienced leaders who understand our history while embracing the changes ahead is more important than ever.
Please join us in congratulating @Legend and @masterofpuppets on their promotions to Community Director. We're excited to welcome two familiar faces back to the team and look forward to everything we'll accomplish together.
