Introducing source2script
That next chapter begins today, November 7th 2026, at 8:00 PM Central Time, when Jailbreak & TTT return to EdgeGamers like never before.
The return of these two classic game modes is just the beginning. Moving to source2script allows our developers and tech team to have significantly more room to experiment with new systems, improve existing systems and never be behind the curve waiting for updates from third party frameworks. One of the first priorities is improving the overall player experience. This includes redesigned HUDs, clearer role information, better notifications, improved menus and even experimenting with newer camera features never before done in Counter-Strike 2. Alongside these improvements, we will continue addressing bugs and restoring functionality that players may remember from previous frameworks and platforms, like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive & Source. We're also looking forward to enhanced player customization. Weapon skins are planned to return, allowing players to personalize their weapons and save their preferences. We also plan to begin introducing new cosmetics through Dedicated Supporter, including hats, accessories and other customization options.
You can also expect upcoming updates and projects regarding Gangs 2.0 and Dedicated Supporter v2. Allowing for a never before seen cross progression across EdgeGamers' servers, planned to move in for Q1 of 2027. While we are talking about the future, we have another unique server in the works. No spoilers just yet, but keep an eye on the furniture.
Lastly, the return of Community Events, Community Events have always been a major part of EdgeGamers. Our immediate goal is to get the Events system running again so we can resume weekly minigames, explore new modes, maps and other event ideas. If you want to be apart of this effort, apply to our CS events team today!
Join Us at 8:00 PM CST, grab your friends, a drink and get read for the next chapter of Counter-Strike 2 within EdgeGamers! We'll see you there!
