Banner Contest

It's time to get those creative juices flowing! We are looking for great community-designed logos to complement the eGO website. Winners will have their work featured all over the eGO website in addition to receiving a fantastic prize.

My apologies for the style change in the middle of the current banner contest. I do not expect that headers created for the previous style should be too hard to port over. The old thread is still stickied for reference.

Note that I cannot implement division-specific logos this short into the new style release but please submit them! A more generic logo will be implemented first, followed shortly by division-specific applied into their respective forums. I will update this thread once the division style system is implemented.

Feel free to adjust the width. Please try to avoid adjusting the height unless it is absolutely necessary!


Important Notes:
  • The logo must include 'EdgeGamers™ Organization' exactly (note the trademark).
  • The tag strip (=(e)= =(eG)= =(eGO)=) must be present and marked with a trademark at the end of the string.
  • The red line in the template marks the table row that the tabs sit on. You are free to cross this line but try to keep it fairly limited (~300px). I can look into overlay options if your header does need to use up the full space.
  • Winning designs will be asked to provide PSDs in case of an urgent change.

Pluses:
  • Use of the eGO icon (included) is recommended.
  • The potential for adaptability in different divisions is a huge plus.
  • Color adaptability is also something to consider. Different color schemes will eventually be released for the website.

my question is the tabs would they go on the photo or are they within the site? and is that all for the tabs being added since home was just added?
 
Just hide that tab / line layers. They are there as an example. The icon is optional.

oh okay thanks ! :D I'm making some gradients for what I think might be some color schemes I have a red one done its just like the banner color now but red ill post them in the contest thread

Man, i don't like that eGO icon :'( is it really needed ? :'(, And if it's really needed you could atleast added the vector path of it so i could resize it without quality loss

Jv the rules say its recommended, meaning its better to have it. and does it need to reflect on all 4 divisions? or just eGO in general?

I crossed the red line, yes I know but now there are enough buttons, adding more would make the header look crowed... If u don't like it. just remove the css guys and it's all above the red line :)

Don't worry if you need to cross the line. I just can't have 500+ pixels of stuff in the lower row with the current layout.

The rule for most graphic design is to keep it simple. In this case it is a header not a sig or a wallpaper, so I refrained from making a crazy collage of images and throwing a bunch of effects.
 
Can EdgeGamers and Organization be on two different lines
