Just kidding, but seriously. Awesome band.
I like a ton of music. My "favorite" changes with my mood and what my day's actions happen to be. All in all, my definite favorites would have to be Beck, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Aesop Rock, The Mountain Goats, Robert Johnson, Tortoise, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, The Mars Volta, Saul Williams, Deftones, Nightwish, and I'm just going to stop there. I'm open to near anything.
Also, hip-hop in its truest sense takes a lot of time into writing and performing properly. It's more than simply talking, it's more than simply writing complicated rhymes. In my experience, traditional music just doesn't express emotion the way a good MC can, or a good prog/improv band can. But hey, just my opinion. I'm a classically trained musician; I am pretty much required to have an elitist view where the more simple music simply doesn't appeal to me anymore. D:
I'd also like to point out that Rammstein is one of the greatest bands around at the moment, because in my opinion, they only keep getting better. They don't get worse, their sound expands and includes the same elements and adds in new ones, with more beauty to the German language than I ever thought possible, and I've taken several years of German, including AP.
