Good power supply brand?

If it is for gaming then what kinda of card / cards are you running?

Antec makes a very nice power supply I am currently using there 850 watt P.S. as well it is modular. I would say that one is not too expensive either.

BFG is another good brand. I have there 800watt in another rig of mine, the only down fall is, its not modular and the cables are massive. I know they have come out with a new line but the old series were a pain in the rear to fit in a mid-size case. Bic Conker is using one in his rig I built for him this past spring.

I really don't go out of the box on power supplies just for the fact of how temperamental they can be period. Most of the time you go with some name you can't pronounce and usually you call there tech support only to find you cannot really understand there broken english. Sigh I'm sorry now i am just rambling about my experiences

Just avoid the off-brand stuff - there's more to a psu than the wattage. How many rails it has (2 is probably a minimum!) and the type of connectors it has are good places to thin out the list of choices

it really depends on how many gpu's, dual or quad cpu's, how many HD's and how many DVD's you plan on using, plus lights and fans...really, just how much junk you plan on running in your trunk

FSP Group makes an EXCELLENT power supply, and they're pretty competitively priced too. You may want to run a power supply calculator to gauge just how much power you really need. Be wary of wattage ratings on supplies - most manufacturers list 'peak' when you actually want to know 'sustained'.
